EXCLUSIVE! Cory Says He Has A Special Birthday Day Date — Could It Be Taylor Swift?

Backstage at the Ellen show, the Glee star revealed he’s spending his 28th birthday with someone special — and Taylor Swift isn’t touring today! Hm….

What does Cory Monteith want for his 28th birthday today? A romantic date with a special someone — and that special someone might just be rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift! The Glee hunk revealed his big birthday plans backstage at the Ellen show May 10.

“Cory loved every minute appearing on the Ellen show,” a show insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively of the segment, which airs on Cory’s actual birthday, May 11. “But he kept mentioning to anyone that would listen that he had a date for his birthday. He kept talking about what he was more excited about, appearing on Ellen or his upcoming date.”

According to the insider, Cory (best known as McKinley High School’s singing quarterback Finn Hudson) said, “If my birthday celebration stopped today at Ellen, it would easily be one of my favorite birthdays ever. But as wonderful as this date was, I have a bigger date tomorrow.”

He never said the lucky lady’s name out loud, but that didn’t stop host Ellen DeGeneres from embarrassing the Glee cutie on her show by referring to his rumored relationship with Taylor Swift, even showing a picture of the two together from their romantic bowling date in March.

While we can only guess at the nature of Cory’s date (and hoping it’s Taylor, 20, who just so happens to have the day off from touring….), what can’t be denied is that Cory makes the perfect BF. “Cory is one of the coolest celebs around!” our insider says. “Ellen and her crew loved him! He’s so funny and sweet. He’s perfect boyfriend material. Whoever he gets to spend his birthday with gets the real present!”
