Kourtney Kardashian was missing from Kim Kardashian‘s 43rd birthday party, but the reason why wasn’t because of their family drama. Kourtney, 44, couldn’t attend the festivities at Funke restaurant in Beverly Hills on Friday, October 20 because she’s on bed rest amidst her pregnancy, Kim revealed in her Instagram post from the party. The SKIMS founder shared pictures with all her guests, including her other sisters, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, and their mom, Kris Jenner, two days after the party and gave a sweet shoutout to Kourtney in her caption.
“So blessed to have hit the jackpot of friends! I couldn’t have ever dreamed I would be so lucky to call these girls my friends ✨ thank you for all the birthday love ❤️,” Kim wrote, adding, “and Kourt I’m jumping in bed with you next week for our bed rest picnic 🎂.”
Kourtney is currently pregnant and is waiting to give birth to her first child with her husband, Travis Barker. The reality star, who already has three children with ex Scott Disick, still wished Kim a happy birthday on her Instagram Stories even though she couldn’t be at the party. Kourtney posted pictures of the siblings from over the years and poked fun at their various feuds that have played out on television.
“Happy happy birthday to my first sister @kimkardashian!” Kourtney wrote. Thank you for all those years of bossing you around and you actually listening to all my crazy ideas. People think the fights they’ve seen on tv are bad…if only they got to witness the hair pulling, nail digging ones from early high school. The joys of sisterhood,” she added. “I love you deeply forever and always. May God bless this year with love and happiness and abundant joy.”
Fans have seen Kim and Kourtney’s drama play out on the latest episodes of The Kardashians. Kourtney was upset that Kim did a collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana months after the fashion house hosted Kourtney and Travis’ Italian wedding in 2022. That led to a heated phone call fight between the sisters where Kourtney called Kim “selfish” and a “narcissist,” and in turn Kim revealed to Kourtney that she has a group chat with Kourtney’s friends where they talk about her.
Kim previously discussed her drama with Kourtney in an interview on Today before season 3 of the Hulu show premiered in May. “We’ve been there before, and we’ll always be OK,” Kim said. “We’re always family, that’s how we were raised. But I’m also proud that everyone’s really vulnerable because I’m sure so many other families have gone through similar things. Maybe on different levels and experiences, but I’m proud that we’re still so open and still driven to show and share so much.”
