Doris Roberts‘ Everybody Loves Raymond co-stars, Ray Romano and Patricia Heaton, were shocked to hear she died on April 17, and they were two of the first celebs to react to her unfortunate passing with some kind words. Read them here.
Ray told HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site Deadline, “Doris Roberts had an energy and a spirit that amazed me. She never stopped. Whether working professionally or with her many charities, or just nurturing and mentoring a green young comic trying to make it as an actor, she did everything with such a grand love for life and people and I will miss her dearly.” And Patrica tweeted the following:

Throughout Doris’ career, she won 5 Emmy Awards — 4 of which were for her role on Everybody Loves Raymond. She starred in many TV shows and movies, but she was best known for her roles in Raymond, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989), and Grandma’s Boy (2006).
