Andy Kaufman’s ‘Daughter’ Speaks Out
In a speech full of rambling, a woman who claims to be the (late?) comedian’s daughter explained just where her father is — and that no, he isn’t dead.
“I’m not trying to prove anything,” she started the speech with, that has been posted by TMZ. “He didn’t tell me to say anything. I just know he’s so excited about this. He did say how much he cares about the awards. I don’t know how much longer he can keep everything away.”
She also said that he actually considered coming to the awards, but decided against it at the last minute.
An audience member asked what he’s been up to, to which the alleged daughter said that the was a “stay at home” father and a “great dad.”
Award Show Producer: This Is Not A Prank
Andy, a comedian known for his role in Taxi, had reportedly joked about faking his own death when he was alive. So, many thought it could have all been a joke during the awards show.
“I witnessed the entire thing and I can tell you without a doubt this was not a prank,” Al Parinello, the show’s producer and a close friend of Andy’s told the Hollywood Reporter.
So, HollywoodLifers — what do you think? Do you think Andy is still alive? Was that really his daughter? Let us know!
