Oscar Nominations: Movie Fans Outraged Over ‘All White’ Nominees

Whoa! The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is under fire after the 2015 Oscar nominations were announced on Jan. 15. All twenty acting nominations went to white performers, snubbing several  wonderful artists including actor, David Oyelowo for his portrayal of Martin Luther King, Jr. in ‘Selma.’

Not everyone was celebrating after the Oscar nominations were  announced on Jan. 15. Twitter frantically blew up as fans shared their outrage over the fact that only white performance were nominated in the acting categories. Did you hear? Early in the morning on Jan. 15, nominees for the 87th annual Oscars were announced and there were a ton of surprises, snubs and well deserved recognitions. While we may not know how all the nominees feel, some were nice enough to share their reaction to the big news with us!

Congrats are in order for Marion Cotillard! The 39-year-old actress landed her second Academy Award nomination for her role in ‘Two Days, One Night’ — and everyone was shocked. We’re so happy for Marion!

While announcing the nominations for the 87th Academy Awards on Jan. 15, Academy President Cheryl Boone had a little bit of trouble with one particular name. Talk about a major palm to face moment!

What is it about the Oscars and people mispronouncing names? During the live broadcast of nomination announcements, Cheryl Boone– who is the Academy president, we might add– couldn’t quite pronounce a certain nominee’s name. Remember when John Travolta called Tony winning Frozen songstress Idina Menzel by the name Adele Dazeem? Well, this incident kind of reminded us of that and, we won’t lie, it’s hilarious. Jared Leto Disses Jennifer Lawrence Falling At Oscars: It May Be ‘An Act’

Jared Leto’s not totally buying JLaw’s clumsy act! After her second fall at an award show took place at the Oscars on March 2, Jared said in a new interview that he’s not sure if it was legit or just ‘an act.’

Jennifer Lawrence has proved time and again that she’s just like us — clumsy, and loves her Slim Jims. However, Jared Leto, who also happens to be the one she called out for laughing while she was presenting, isn’t convinced that she’s legit falling.
