Alyssa Norwin serves as HollywoodLife's Deputy Editor of New York City, writing stories and overseeing assignments in both the New York and Los Angeles newsrooms. As a self-proclaimed "teenybopper," her passion for celebrity news spans more than 15 years, so she decided to make a career out of it. Alyssa graduated from Syracuse University in Dec. 2011 with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Sociology. She spent her first year out of college as a freelance writer for Hollywire.com, then went on to manage Star magazine's website for two years. She joined the HollywoodLife team in March 2015. Alyssa is HollywoodLife's country music expert, and has conducted interviews with artists like Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Hunter Hayes, Jessie James Decker and many others. She has also attended the CMT Awards and CMA Music Festival in Nashville, while leading the team in coverage for both events, along with the CMA Awards and ACM Awards. Alyssa also extensively covers The Bachelor franchise, The Voice and The Challenge for HollywoodLife. In addition to in-depth weekly recaps, she has also interviewed stars from all three shows, including Colton Underwood, Cassie Randolph, Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio, Cara Maria Sorbello, Lauren Duski and Emily Ann Roberts.
