Internet hackers created a fake Twitter account to spread rumors that Justin Bieber has cancer and that fans are shaving their heads to support him. This is so rude and unfortunate — read on for all the disheartening details.
Beliebers, beware. Internet trolls are on the prowl, trying to trick fans into believing that Justin Bieber has cancer. In fact, they’ve tried to carry out a specific movement — #BaldForBieber — where fans shave their heads to show support for Justin.
This, of course, is far from funny and is an incredibly awful — and mean — hoax.
A fake Twitter account, claiming to be Entertainment Tonight, tweeted, “pop Star Justin Bieber was diagnosed with cancer earlier this morning. Bieber fans are shaving their heads to show their support,” but later deleted the tweet. A Facebook page has also been created which has few likes.
A website has also been created, BaldforBieber.com, to provide information on the hoax.
Justin hasn’t tweeted about the hoax yet — but we’re sure we’ll hear from him soon.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Is this the worst hoax ever? Weigh in and vote below.
