What did you think of the way ‘Desperate Housewives’ ended? HollywoodLife.com readers — and myself — were hoping for more.
After spending eight years with the women of Wisteria Lane, Desperate Housewives fans figured they’d be reaching for the tissues during the show’s May 13 series finale. But instead of getting the warm, satisfying ending they’d hoped for, viewers watched in disappointment as four seemingly life-long friends — Susan (Teri Hatcher), Gaby (Eva Longoria), Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Bree (Marcia Cross) — parted ways, never to see each other again.
As Bree goes on trial for Alejandro’s murder, the housewives face some of the toughest decisions of their lives.
On the May 6 episode of Desperate Housewives, the women of Wisteria Lane got served a dose of reality — but one housewife didn’t want to eat it.
With only one episode left before the two-hour series finale, things are looking grim for the women of Wisteria Lane.
On the April 29 episode of Desperate Housewives, the ladies fought to stay in control — but some wound up losing it altogether.
Plus, Susan makes a shocking discovery about Mike!
It’s ironic that the April 1 episode of Desperate Housewives began with a monologue about how Bree (Marcia Cross) feels everything must go according to plan, because all the while, she had no idea someone was working on a nasty plan of their own — against her!
Plus, the evidence continues to mount against Bree! At least she’ll have the cleanest jail cell on the block.
After two weeks of shocks, tears and changes, the March 25 episode of Desperate Housewives found the women of Wisteria Lane doing exactly what they do best: meddling in other people’s lives! Susan (Teri Hatcher) helped her son handle his anger, Bree (Marcia Cross) broke up her son’s engagement, Gaby (Eva Longoria) got paid to tell strangers what to wear, and Lynette (Felicity Huffman) tried to reel Tom (Doug Savant) back into her life. But did it work?
Plus, Mike is laid to rest in one of the saddest TV funeral I’ve ever seen.
Mike’s (James Denton) funeral on the March 18 episode of Desperate Housewives turned out to be more than just a tearjerker, as the women of Wisteria Lane used their memories of him to reflect on some of their past hardships — and realized what needs to be done to conquer their current demons.
Spoiler alert! Don’t read on until you’ve seen the March 11 episode of ‘Desperate Housewives.’
Even though most of us knew about tonight’s major death a few days ago, the March 11 episode of Desperate Housewives was nothing short of heartbreaking. The final scene between Mike (James Denton) and Susan (Teri Hatcher) on the porch literally ripped me to pieces, as she thanked him for always being there to protect people, and he told her — for the last time — just how much he really loved her.
Plus, Bree embraces her bad side — and I like it!
While I will never retract my previous statements about Susan (Teri Hatcher) being the dumbest housewife on Wisteria Lane, I will say she got really lucky on the Jan. 22 episode of Desperate Housewives. Alejandro’s wife Claudia (Justina Machado) showed up on Susan’s doorstep this week demanding answers, and when Susan’s big mouth got her even deeper in the hole, Gaby (Eva Longoria) decided to reveal the truth. All of it.
Plus, Susan blows the big murder secret — again! When will that stupid lady stop being stupid?
If you were hoping the Jan. 15 episode of Desperate Housewives would give us the answer to any of this season’s big mysteries — who killed Chuck who’s been sending those letters, to name a few — you’re out of luck. But this week’s episode did present a few new developments in the lives of Wisteria Lane’s finest, including the arrival of a dangerous new enemy!
Another week, another twist in the season-long mystery. Who do YOU think has been sending these letters?
We may not know exactly who killed Chuck Vance (Jonathan Cake), but we got a pretty major clue on the Jan. 8 episode of Desperate Housewives — and like all good clues, it was saved until the final minutes. The same mystery person who sent the Mary Alice-esque letter to Bree (Marcia Cross) in the season premiere gifted her with a follow-up note this week: “You’re welcome.” Politeness has never been so chilling.
Now two more people know about the murder! How much longer can the ‘Housewives’ keep their secret?
This season’s Desperate Housewives mystery has been pretty predictable thus far, but I have to admit the Nov. 6 episode threw me for a loop. Bree (Marcia Cross) discovered that Ben (Charles Mesure) is the one who dug up Gaby’s (Eva Longoria) stepfather’s corpse last week, but what’s even more surprising is that he’s actually helping her keep the murder a secret!
The ‘Fairview four’ all had major life crises this week — except Susan, who spent most of the hour giggling at the word ‘penis.’
Just when you thought the women of Wisteria Lane were starting to get a grip, the Oct. 23 episode of Desperate Housewives came along and turned their lives completely upside down: Gaby (Eva Longoria) discovered Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) has a drinking problem; Lynette (Felicity Huffman) had a meltdown on her first post-separation date; and Bree (Marcia Cross) realized their little murder cover-up is about to be exposed.
