With news that Andrew Garfield won’t be spinning his web as Spider-Man anymore, we were very worried. But now, Marvel boss Kevin Feige has CONFIRMED that we’ll get a teen Spidey for the next installment of the hit franchise. That definitely cheered us up!
To be honest, we’re still reeling from the news that Andrew Garfield, 31, won’t be returning as Spider-Man, but this news about the next revamp of the superhero has us excited! Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, 41, has revealed that the next movie in the hit franchise will feature a teen Spidey! Yep, we’re going to see Peter Parker go through his awkward high school years.
Are Sam Strike’s Spidey senses tingling? Maybe! Speculation is running wild that the former ‘Eastenders’ star will be stepping into the iconic red spandex. So, is there any truth to the rumor?
The Spider-Man casting rumors are still in full swing– pun intended! Since Andrew Garfield confirmed he would be hanging up the lycra for good, we’ve been waiting with baited breath to see which spry guy would replace him. With an imminent Spider-Man casting announcement for both Captain America: Civil War and the next Spider-Man installment just around the corner, signs are pointing to Sam Strike, 21, as the successor!
This is awesome. The Marvel franchise has just confirmed that Gwen Stacy, who died in the Marvel universe over 40 years ago, will make a comeback. The announcement has us wondering, does this mean Emma Stone will appear in future ‘Spider-Man’ films?
Girls really can do anything that boys can do! As fans know, in the Marvel universe, Gwen Stacy (played in the most recent Spider-Man films by Emma Stone) was killed back in 1973 during a battle with the Green Goblin. However, thanks to an alternate universe, Gwen will take on her own spider powers and become Spider-Gwen in a brand new comic. Does this mean a film adaptation with Emma attached is to follow?
‘Spider-Man’ is getting younger. For the next movie in the series, our favorite swinging superhero is heading to high school. So, which younger dude is stepping into the red spandex?
We’re in the midst of some Spider-Man musical chairs. Following reports that Andrew Garfield would be leaving his Spidey suit behind, the role is now vacant for someone else to step in. Speculation has been rampant that Dylan O’Brien will be tapped for future films. So, is the hottie trading in werewolves for spiders?
This could be major! After years of exclusion, Spider-Man might finally be joining the Marvel universe! But will Spidey star Andrew Garfield reprise his role?
It’s about time! It’s just been announced that Sony Studios, who’s been responsible for all of the Spider-Man movies so far, has teamed with Marvel in producing future films. So, what does this mean for Spidey in the Marvel franchise and does that mean Andrew Garfield is exiting the films for good? We’ve got all the details on the newly formed partnership!
If you root for the villain in films, then ‘Sinister Six’ is right up your alley. The Spider-Man villain spinoff is set to be released in 2016!
Spidey fans caught a glimpse of the Sinister Six villains in the The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Some of our favorite comic book villains are getting their own movie in 2016. Sinister Six will bring evil to theaters on November 11, 2016. Are you ready for these supervillains to go face-to-face?
This year our Spider Man became the face for Prada menswear! But aside from his action figure role, Tobey Maguire, who is also a producer, has been seen in amazing films like The Cider House Rules, Seabiscuit, Brothers, and Tropic Thunder. Next up for the dad-of two? A starring role in The Great Gatsby.
‘The Social Network’ star broods menacingly in the first still from the new ‘Spider-Man’ reboot!
The new Spider-Man movie hits theaters in summer 2012, but instead of reaching out to Tobey Maguire to reprise his role as Peter Parker, the series is being relaunched with Andrew Garfield, 27, in the lead. The first still from the movie has been released, and we think the new suit looks great… and Andrew looks great in it! What do YOU think?
I saw the Spider-Man musical — which is the talk of Broadway for all the wrong reasons – and trust me when I say you should do anything you can to see this Broadway spectacular!
Surrounded by technical issues, stuntman injuries and costly delays, the upcoming Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark may have put a bad taste in many people’s mouths. However, after seeing a preview performance Dec. 29, I can tell you the show’s imagination, outside the box thinking and flying Spider-Man fun is a complete joy for anyone spending a night on Broadway!
Plus, vote now: Does all the controversy surrounding the Spider-Man musical make you want to see it more, or less?
Another one bites the dust! Natalie Mendoza, the actress who suffered a concussion during a November preview performance of Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, has decided to bow out of the troubled musical, sources tell The New York Times. Her understudy, America Olivo, is expected to assume the vacant role.
The latest tragedy — a performer fell 30 feet — should be last straw for this problem-filled production!
The problems just keep coming for the ‘upcoming’ Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. After a string of troubled performances, poor buzz and increasing budget woes, a massive injury Dec. 20 should be the nail in the coffin for the show.
The New York Post reports stunt double Christopher Tierney was the latest victim of the stunt-filled spectacle, where a fall due to a faulty rope left the aerialist with broken ribs and internal bleeding.
Early reports say Spidey’s Broadway debut needs a lot of work before it’s ready for the public.
With a budget of more than $65 million, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is the most expensive show in Broadway history — and it also might be the most flawed. The Julie Taymor-directed musical had its first preview performance Nov. 28, and although the high-flying acrobatics left young theater-goers enthralled, The New York Times reports that the show was marred with mistakes and actually stopped five times throughout its run of more than three hours.
My prediction: It’s time to press the “Like” button! If you enjoy watching films that are completely relevant to today’s world and have some of the hottest men in Hollywood, you will LOVE this movie about the creation of Facebook!
When David Fincher makes a film, whether it be Seven, Fight Club or The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, you are in for a pretty intense and enjoyable movie-going experience. If you expected a film about Facebook to be all about boring status updates, think again! (Plus, as an added bonus, you see Justin Timberlake with his shirt off!)Read more
They’re young, they’re tough, they’re keeping the streets safe for their celebrity parents! It’s Super-Kingston and Bat-Milo!
Halloween might be almost two months away, but that’s not stopping Milo Langdon, 6, from getting his superhero on. Hanging out on Labor Day weekend in New York with mom Liv Tyler, 33, Milo channeled his inner Bruce Wayne by donning the familiar gray and black of Gotham City’s most famous defender, Batman (minus the secret identity-protecting mask, of course).
It’s not the first time Kingston has masqueraded as the Man of Steel, but this time he’s practicing his X-ray vision.
Kingston Rossdale sure likes his superheroes, especially Superman! When the 4-year-old son of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale isn’t seen wearing his red Superman T-shirt, he’s decked out in a costume befitting the Man of Steel! And this isn’t the first time we’ve seen it.
