Steve Harvey didn’t just screw up the winner of the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant on Dec. 20, he royally messed up his Twitter apology too! Steve, just quit while you’re ahead buddy.
Steve Harvey needs to just take a step back for a moment and breathe. Not only did he somehow crown the wrong winner at the 2015 Miss Universe Pageant on live TV but his apology had tons of misspellings which deserve an apology about the apology!
Steve has since apologized for the mixup but his tweets were a disgrace. As of now the tweets have been deleted and updated with correct spellings but this is what the original apology tweet said: “I want to apologize emphatically to Miss Philippians and Miss Columbia. This was a terribly honest human mistake and I am so regretful.” Well Steve, what you should be regretful for is your horrible spelling. Yes, he did update with the correct spellings but this is not okay.
Steve did make another apology and this time he posted it to his Facebook page: “I made a terrible mistake tonight in announcing the wrong winner and runner-up for the Miss Universe pageant. I know how much pride many countries, fans and most importantly, the contestants take in preparing for this night. I hope that you can forgive me.
All contestants were amazing but I want to specifically apologize to Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines again and wholeheartedly. You both represented well for your countries, families and yourselves.”
