But there is some good news: Dr. Mark Sloan will return to Seattle Grace at the beginning of season nine to wrap up his story line.

Eric Dane has checked into rehab to fight off an addiction to pills before he begins work again on Grey’s Anatomy. His spokesperson tells Star, “Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus. He reports back to work next week. Business as usual.”
