Connor Cruise decided to celebrate “Throwback Thursday” on Twitter by sharing an old photo of him and sister Isabella Cruise as babies with their dad Tom Cruise. He tweeted “love my family” along with the pic, but mom Nicole Kidman was noticeably absent from the shot — and possibly the message.

After Tom and Nicole split in 2001, their two adoptive kids famously chose to live with their dad (and embrace Scientology) rather than spend equal time with their mom. This led to an estranged relationship, with the kids only seeing Nicole a handful of times after the divorce.

It has been reported that Isabella, 19, and Connor, 17, were told to “reject” their mother by the Church of Scientology after they labeled their mom Nicole a suppressive person.

Now it appears that Connor is erasing his mom from his life completely, with no mention of the woman who raised him for seven years. Katie Holmes, his stepmom for five years (and stepsister Suri Cruise), also got no recognition.

It may not have been a messy divorce that caused a rift between Nicole Kidman and her two children, Isabella and Connor Cruise, following the actress’ split from Tom Cruise in 2001. Turns out, it was Scientology!
According to a shocking new report in Vanity Fair, Isabella and Connor were “instructed” by Scientology elders to reject their mother after she was branded a “Suppressive Person” following her departure from the Church.

“The central problem [in the marriage] was Nicole did not want to deal with Scientology,” former Scientologist Marty Rathbun explained.

“They rejected Nicole — they’d been instructed,” echoed John Brousseau, another former Scientologist.

John claims that Isabella and Connor were forced to take a course called Potential Trouble Source/Suppressive Person [P.T.S./S.P.] for people in their lives who are an S.P.”

[Bella and Connor] whispered to me, “J.B., Nicole is an S.P.! Our mom’s an S.P. — we hate going and seeing her,’” he revealed.

Though the Church of Scientology denies that Nicole was ever considered a “S.P.” and calls the Vanity Fair article “hogwash,” this is not the first time that former members have claimed that the Church tried to create distance between Nicole and her two children.

“[A Scientology member] told them over and over again their mother was a sociopath, and after a while they believed him,” Marty previously told The Hollywood Reporter. “They had daily sessions. I was there. I saw it.”

The Cruise kids are all grown up! Connor Cruise, an aspiring DJ and the 17-year-old son of Tom Cruise, shared a photo on Twitter with his sister, Isabella Cruise, 19, with the caption “Me and my sister.”

Connor has embraced his celebrity lifestyle, DJing at Hollywood parties, and making his action movie debut in a new remake of Red Dawn.

Isabella, on the other hand, has enjoyed keeping a low profile. As an aspiring artist, she shares an apartment with her scientologist boyfriend  Eddie Frencher in the Skid Row district in downtown Los Angeles.

Tom and his ex-wife Nicole Kidman adopted Isabella in 1992, and then Connor in 1995.

Since their parents divorced, the Cruise kids lived with their dad in his Los Angeles home where they were home schooled, and have famously kept a distance from their mom.

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise‘s divorce doesn’t just affect Suri‘s life — Isabella and Connor are also caught in the middle of their father and step-mother. And now, it seems like the divorce is taking a toll on Connor, 17.

Tom’s son has been supporting him throughout the divorce, flying out to Iceland when the news first broke and visiting him on Wednesday at the Oblivion set in California.

But his support of Tom doesn’t mean he doesn’t care for Katie. A source tells Us Weekly, “Connor is actually really upset about [the divorce]. Katie was practically his mom. He called her mom, too.”

Although Connor was adopted by Tom and Nicole Kidman, Scientology prevented him from being close to his mom. Now, it seems the religion, which doesn’t allow interactions between church members and a “suppressive person” (someone who have left Scientology), will be getting in between Connor and a second mom.

After five years of marriage, Katie Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise. In that time, Katie has become known as “mom” to Tom’s kids Isabella and Connor Cruise. Unfortunately, their relationship may be tarnished as Katie is reportedly being pegged as the enemy in their split!

An ex-Scientologist tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “People need to wake up to the truth about Scientology. The so-called church is ripping apart families and brainwashing people. I am disgusted and shocked that someone like Tom Cruise buys into all if this craziness. I am appalled that Hollywood supports him! Katie is being tormented right now without a doubt, she is being told that she is an enemy and a bad influence!”

Not only does the source suggest that Katie’s relationship with her stepchildren be ruined as Nicole Kidman’s was, but her career will allegedly be a target as well!

The source continues, “Connor and Isabella who once called Katie ‘Mom’ will be manipulated to see her as the enemy. They will command them to ‘disconnect’ from her. How can a church call anyone an enemy? They will try and intimate Katie and want to even convince her own daughter that she is the enemy. All of us who have escaped have been intimidated. They will try to ruin her life, her relationship with Suri, and her career! What saddens me is that Connor and Isabella will no longer have anything to do with the loving person they once called ‘Mom’!”

Katie, 33, reportedly met with her divorce lawyers on July 6  and 7, most likely trying to move the divorce ahead as quickly as possible with a settlement, so she can move on with her life!

It’s so nice that Tom’s son is with his Dad during this difficult time.
