Former model Christie Brinkley and ex-husband Peter Cook will continue to co-parent their two children Sailor 14, and Jack, 17 with a parenting coordinator to make their disastrous relationship runs smoothly.

The parenting coordinator’s jobs include helping mediate disputes over the teens’ visitations and expenses and make sure Christie, 58, and Peter stick to whatever deal they make.

According to an interview with the New York Post, divorce attorney Raoul Felder said this settlement is fairly common but might not have been the best choice.

Felder said, “My sense of the dynamics are that he wants to get married and she just can’t let go of the spotlight.”

“It’s a dangerous brew when you have that. It’s pretty sad when two intelligent people can’t arrange for kids’ visitation without an intermediary,” continued Raoul.

Both sides of this on-going soap opera have released statements regarding the arrangement.

Peter said: “Christie may never understand or come to regret the bitterness she has left in people’s hearts, including our children’s, but as we are all aware, no money no religion or church, no eulogy, no media attention or magazine article, no matter how elaborate, can remove the legacy of a mean spirit.”

Christie lashed back on Facebook and said “Let it be known, that I ‘moved on’ from my marriage to Peter Cook the moment a police officer tapped me on the shoulder and informed me that ‘my husband had been cheating on me in a two-year affair with his 17-year-old-daughter.”

“Since that moment, it has been an odyssey of frustration as I have navigated the court system with one goal- to find peace and protection for my family from the various forms of abuse at the hands of a narcissist,” continued Christie.

Having her husband’s back, Peter’s current wife Suzanne Shaw rebutted, “Your dishonesty knows no bounds.” Suzanne then proceed to list the lies Christie has told.

“You have not sought peace or protection for your family. You routinely leave your children with Peter months at a time while you are off pursuing other interest,” continued Suzanne.

Christie Brinkley just can’t hold the tears back anymore. The 58-year-old mother of three appeared on The Today Show and began to cry when talking to Matt Lauer about her battle with her ex-husband Peter Cook. Christie said Peter is an “extreme narcissist” and she’s asked the court to protect her and keep him from contacting her.

“Legislation that protects families from a spouse who has been diagnosed by the court-appointed forensic psychiatrist as a bona fide malignant or extreme narcissist,” she explained. “This is something the courts need to come to grips with.”

Christie went on to say that Peter refuses to just pay his minimal $1,800 a month in child support and that he continues to harass her.

“I just want peace for my family,” she cried. “I just want peace and every time and any time I have any joy or any kind of success [Peter] has to try and destroy it. And the courts need to learn how to deal with this kind of situation.”

Supermodel Christie Brinkley‘s divorce saga with ex-husband Peter Cook heats up — he’s accusing her of using their custody battle to get publicity for her return to Broadway! “She can use her celebrity to get the media to say ‘He’s a bad guy,’” Peter says, according to The Daily Mail. “You know… I’m not trying to sell tickets to anything.”

“I don’t want this press,” the 53-year-old Hamptons architect continues. “I’m not interested in it. And there’s got to be a better way for her to do it. Go do a charitable act or something, get your name in the paper. But stop throwing your family under the bus.”

Christie, 58, is returning to the stage in the musical Chicago, and Peter says she’s making their latest court battle coincide for press.

“I don’t know how you can ever rationalize your way out of fighting to have this private family matter become so public,” he says. “And children will live with it forever. I mean, it used to be 40 years ago, it was in the newspaper and it ended up under a bird somewhere. But now it’s Google eternity. This will never go away for my children.”

But Christie’s attorney issued a statement in retaliation to Peter’s claims:

“Peter Cook has repeatedly broken the confidentiality agreement that Christie has continued to uphold. Peter is the only one to go on national television spewing sexist, disgraceful, demonstrably false lies, which gives a taste of what Christie has had to endure since Peter betrayed his marriage vows. Peter embarrassed himself and hurt his family by having an affair with a teenage girl and admitting to an extensive pornography habit.”

Everywhere you turned there was an A-list celebrity at the HIFF Chairman’s Reception on Oct. 15 at the gorgeous estate of Stuart Match Suna. Films like George Clooney‘s The Descendants and Anton Yelchin‘s Like Crazy were the talk of the cocktail hour over delicious hors d’oeuvres and champagne.

Other celebrities were in attendance like Susan Sarandon who immediately following the reception held a Q&A for her 1995 film Dead Man Walking with actor Bob Balaban.

Later that evening guests attended the exclusive Salute to Filmmakers Party at SL East.

The Super Bowl of Broadway wasn’t all about the stage! These fashionable stars stepped out in gorgeous gowns.

Last night’s Tony Awards were full of glitz and glamour. An incredibly diverse group of celebrities (including Daniel Radcliffe, Kelsey Grammer and Chris Rock, to name a few) walked the red carpet — but two of the most memorable guests were Christie Brinkley and Catherine Zeta-Jones! Both women opted for bold colored, embellished frocks, but who looked better?

The age-defying Christie, 57, looks about old enough to attend the prom — and her ensemble resembles what she probably did wear. The strapless, beaded Zuhair Murad gown was gorgeous, but combined with the cleavage, updo, and Chopard diamond covered neck, it was a little much. Catherine, 41, looked ravishing and age-appropriate in plunging Elie Saab, which she accessorized with simple jewels from Van Cleef & Arpels and a tight bun. Not only does Catherine win this battle for me, she was the best dressed of the night. The Tonys are all about old-school glamour and elegance, and Catherine really delivered.
