But Patty wasn’t just known in the acting world. She was also a vocal mental health advocate who made many contributions to the mental health community. And although she may not be a familiar face to younger generations, she continued her acting career with guest-starring roles in an episode of Glee in 2013 and Disney Channel’s Liv And Maddie in 2015.
Patty is survived by her husband, Michael Pearce, and three children, including Lord Of The Rings star Sean Astin, according to TMZ. Leaving behind a family and a legacy, she will certainly be missed by many.
