Jeff Bridges shared heartbreaking news on Oct. 19: ‘The Big Lebowski’ star has been diagnosed with a cancer that affects the lymph system.
I started to wonder: is Super Bowl 2019 going to be remembered as the year with the best commercials of all-time? Maybe so, if Stella Artois’ ad that unites two of pop cultures most iconic characters is any indication. Watch as Carrie Bradshaw meets The Dude for a drink!
Iconic actor Jeff Bridges received the Cecil B. deMille Award at the 76th annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 6, and his speech was quite a lengthy one. However, we loved every minute of it!
Jeff Bridges is about to be the 2019 recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille award at the Golden Globes! Here’s everything you need to know about him!
Jeff Bridges’ raspy voice will relax anyone – even the most crazed football fans. On Jan. 28, the actor debuted his dreamy new album, ‘Sleeping Tapes’, in a Squarespace Super Bowl ad. Click to watch him in this calming commercial!
Namaste NFL. Jeff Bridge‘s zen like spot for Squarespace may seem more apropos for yoga fans than football fans, but the actor/singer can command any commercial. We encourage the losing team to listen to the 69-year-old’s lullabies on his new album, Sleeping Tapes, since it’s very soothing. Hear it here!
Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and the rest of ‘The Big Lebowski’ cast reunite for a special Q&A at the annual Lebowski Fest to promote the film’s release on Blu-Ray!
There was nothing to ‘mark zero’ at last night’s annual Lebowski Fest at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. A tradition that started as a bowling party and film screening by two avid fans from Louisville, KY in 2002, Lebowski Fest has grown as an international event. To commemorate the release of the film for its first time on Blu-Ray, fans dressed as The Dude, Walter, Maude, Donnie, Jesus, the cableguy, and even a Creedence mix-tape to come out and witness this monumental reunion! Plus Jeff Bridges tells us about his new self-titled album and praises Hailee at the Young Hollywood Awards!
We caught up with Oscar winner Jeff Bridges at the 2011 Young Hollywood Awards presented by Bing last Friday, right after he surprised her on stage as he presented his True Grit costar with her Breakthrough of the Year Award. “I’m so proud of her,” he said with a big smile while chatting with HollywoodLife.com backstage. H even told us the advice he gives the young actors he’s worked with, including Elle Fanning and Garrett Hedlund!
Oscar winners faced the press last night after their big moments on the Kodak Theater stage!
The Oscar wins Mar.7 truly reflected the epitome of great acting. Mo’Nique took home an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film Precious based on the novel Push by Sapphire. The award winning actress looked radiant in a royal blue gown and she admits there’s a special reason why she wore it. “It’s the color that Hattie McDaniel wore in 1940 when she accepted her Oscar,” says Mo’Nique. “The reason why I have this gardenia in my hair, it is the flower that Hattie McDaniel wore when she accepted her Oscar … So, for you, Ms. Hattie McDaniel, I feel you all over me, and it’s about time that the world feels you all over them.” Read more
A couple of Academy crowd-favorites won the top acting awards, and The Hurt Locker got the biggest prize of the night!
Sandra Bullock won her first Best Actress award — and even she seemed surprised by the win. Jeff Bridges didn’t seem overly shocked to nab Best Actor, but he still gave a aww-inducing speech celebrating his eminent show-biz family. We particularly liked the dude with the crazy hair who won for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing (Paul Ottosson of The Hurt Locker) and yawn Sandy Powell won for the third time for costume design (The Young Victoria). And you’re probably looking for all the rest of the winners, neatly formatted … CLICK HERE TO SEE AN EASY-TO-READ LIST & Sandra’s Acceptance Speech!
Were you shocked by any SAG Award winners?
We weren’t! Aside from the incredible tribute to Betty White, The 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards ceremony played out almost identically to last weekend’s Golden Globes. It was basically round two for repeat winners like Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Mo’Nique and Drew Barrymore — though at least Drew seemed considerably more flustered with her SAG acceptance speech than she was at the Globes.
