Bio: Ozzy Osbourne (born John Michael Osbourne on December 3, 1948 in Aston, Birmingham, England) is a British singer, songwriter and television personality. Ozzy grew up in Birmingham and when he heard The Beatles at age 14, he fell in love in music. He left school at age 15 and worked a variety of odd jobs. In 1967, Ozzy was recruited by Geezer Butler to form the band that would become Black Sabbath. With the release of their first album in 1970, the band became synonymous with heavy metal. Ozzy would stay with the band until they fired him in 1979. Ozzy decided to go solo, releasing Blizzard of Ozz in 1980. The album went Platinum 4 times. His following albums, Diary of a Madman and Bark at the Moon, along with stage antics like biting the head off a live bat, certified him as a metal icon. Ozzy continued to perform and record new music, working with guitar legends like Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads and Steve Vai. Ozzy also became a reality television icon with the program, The Osbournes, featuring the domestic life of Ozzy and his family.

Ozzy has been married twice. He and his first wife, Thelma Riley, had two children together – Jessica Starshine and Louis John. Ozzy also adopted her son, Elliot. They divorced and Ozzy married Sharon Osbourne in 1982. They had three children – Aimee Osborne, Kelly Osbourne and Jack Osbourne. Sharon also acts as Ozzy’s manager. His drug and alcohol use was legendary in the heavy metal community. After a period of sobriety, Ozzy revealed in 2013 that he had been drinking and taking drugs again, apologizing to his family, friends and fans. Sharon and Ozzy split after 33 years of marriage in May 2016 after she allegedly found out he cheated on her.
