When Charlie Carver announced he was gay in a very touching series of Instagram posts, his twin brother showed his support in the sweetest way.
Charlie Carver has a strong support system. The 27-year-old Teen Wolf star revealed on Jan. 12 that he is gay and said that he was finally able to come out and be his true self and his brother Max Carver made sure to show the world that he stands by his brother in this Twitter message.
This is what Charlie’s brother Max posted right after the news broke that his brother identified as gay. Charlie revealed in a series of Instagram posts that he was gay and he told his fans: “As a young boy, I knew I wanted to be an actor. It was around that age that I also knew, however abstractly, that I was different from some of the other boys in my grade.” You can watch Teen Wolf RIGHT HERE.
“Over time, this abstract ‘knowing’ grew and articulated itself through a painful gestation marked by feelings of despair and alienation, ending in a climax of saying three words out loud: ‘I am gay’ If I came out,” Charlie told fans. “I feared I would be limiting myself to a type, to a perception with limits that I was not professionally comfortable with.”
“But then I saw that little photo on Instagram,” he went on to say. “Well, in truth, it had found me long after I’d made up my mind to write something like this. We’re learning new vocabularies to help others feel heard when they try and articulate their perceived ‘otherness’- words like cis- and trans-, non-binary, fluid.” See his entire message here on Instagram.
