Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves looked radiant at the screening at MoMa, hosted by Cinema Society with FIJI Water & Levi’s. The father of three told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that compared to other celebrity fathers, he considers himself blessed!

Matthew McConaughey Lucky He Can Bring His Family On His Travels

While Matthew rocked a red plaid suit by Vivienne Westwood, wife Camila stunned just four months after having baby Livingston, looking beautiful in Dolce & Gabbana. However, while she hung in the background letting her man promote his new film, Matthew talked exclusively to us about how lucky he felt.

“I’m very fortunate, my family comes with me,” he said about his traveling for work. “Not everyone can do that – that would make it much more difficult, the family can’t come with you.”

As for advice for other celebrity dads like Magic Mike co-star Channing Tatum, he said that everyone’s parenting style is different.

“I haven’t crossed it completely yet!” he laughed about advice for balancing his career and family. “As the kids get older, it comes to a new question – is it dad or is it friend? And that’s a tough one. So, we’ll cross that – we’ve got our ideas about it, we’ll cross that when we get there.”

Camila Alves welcomed her third child with husband Matthew McConaughey in December, but the model and mom of three revealed on The View on March 13 that her pregnancy with her third baby was the most difficult yet! As the mom to Levi, 4, and Vida, 3, she knew something was wrong this time around. Scary!

“This time around it has been a really tough recovery. I had a really tough pregnancy,” she told the women on March 13. “I had a all kind of things happen throughout the pregnancy. I had really tough pains and I kept telling the doctors.”

When it came to delivery, she said the pains were bad again and she ended up having a C-section, and is now recovering from that surgery as well.

“I am not able to exercise because of the recovery that I have now,” she explained. “I can’t pick up my kids really, I have another four weeks to go.”

Camila Alves’ Strict Post-Baby Diet

Camila also had to learn how to eat with a new diet post-baby, and she is drinking a gallon of water all day. She also revealed how hard it is to not have dairy because she is trying to lose weight and she is breast feeding.

Sherri was sure to comment on how skinny the model looked, but Camila assures that the baby weight is still there.

“It’s hiding over there,” she joked and motioned around her stomach.

Luckily, Levingston was delivered happy and healthy — and mom and baby are doing great!

Matthew McConaughey’s ‘Magic Mike’ Costume: A Whole Lotta Leather

“We found this sort of obsessed, but comedic route by a guy who was taking himself very seriously,” Matthew said of his character. Which led to the more important question — what kind of thong was this comedically serious guy going to wear?

“There were week-long talks about the right thong,” Matthew said. “I brought up Jim Morrison, and he [Christopher Peterson, Magic Mike costume designer] was like, ‘Leathers — leather pants.’ Once we found the leathers, and they fit, we were like, ‘That’s a stalemate. That is what Dallas has on all the time.’”

We agree that the leather outfit seemed stuck to (well, not exactly) Dallas in Magic Mike. The leather pants, the leather vest, the leather thong — they’re all so HIM!

Matthew McConaughey Wins At The Independent Spirit Awards

For his efforts, Matthew was awarded the Best Supporting Actor at the Independent Spirit Awards on Feb. 23. The man behind Dallas also told HollywoodLife.com why he loves independent films, and making unique movies like Magic Mike.

Because of the smaller budgets, Matthew said, “you’re forced to come together and make it happen. And there’s something that’s fun about the construction of making a movie. That’s my favorite thing, is the making of an independent film.”

Camila Alves became a mom of three on Dec. 28 when she welcomed another baby with husband Matthew McConaughey! The proud parents welcomed their third child in Austin, Texas, TMZ is reporting.

This is the third child for the couple; they are also parents to son Levi, 4, and daughter Vida, 2.

They have been together since 2006, but didn’t tie the knot until June 2012 — when Camila was a pregnant bride.

The actor revealed the good news on July 4 when he tweeted, ”Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child.”

Busy Year For Matthew McConaughey

Matthew starred in the summer blockbuster hit Magic Mike, and has also been busy filming the AIDS biopic The Dallas Buyer’s Club, where he plays Ron Woodroof, a man suffering from AIDS in the 1980s. To portray the character, Matthew had to drop 40 pounds from his signature buff frame.

“Overall, [I've] probably got 35 percent less energy, but there’s been plateaus,” McConaughey told E Online in November. “Getting past 170 was really hard, but then once you get [to] 167 the next seven come off easy. Getting past 160, really hard. But then you fly down to 150. Getting past 150 was really hard and then, bam! Got down to 143 and that’s where I want to be. So, once you get past the plateau, your body seems to understand, ‘OK, this is where we’re leaving now, this is where we are’ and so the energy rises.”

We hope Matthew finishes filming soon so he can have the energy to be with his new baby!

After playing a muscular male stripper in Magic Mike, Matthew McConaughey has lost almost 40 pounds, a fourth of his body weight, to play AIDS patient Ron Woodroff in upcoming film The Dallas Buyers Club. During the Nov. 20 episode of Good Morning America, Matthew revealed the details of his weight loss and the struggles he’ll face ahead.

“Overall, I probably got 35% less energy [now],” Matthew said in an interview wit HitFix that appeared on GMA. Making light of the situation, though, Matthew continued by discussing the struggles he faces. He said, “I don’t want to be doing this interview at a pizza hut buffet. I choose to pick my places with less good smell.”

Matthew went from 181 pounds down to 143 pounds, losing a fourth of his body mass. Standing at 6-feet, Matthew appears gaunt and unhealthy.

“It’s 90 percent diet. Right now, I’m not losing any more weight if I burn 1500 calories, two hours of cardio in an afternoon, or I don’t,” he added.

While Matthew will likely receive Oscar buzz for his transformative performance, he will surely face struggles gaining the weight back.

“The stomach has shrunk as well. As much as I can’t wait to have that cheeseburger on the day, it’ll probably be damn hard to eat the whole thing,” Matthew said.
