His team won 8 Pro Bowls. He was named Sports Illustrated‘s Sportsman Of The Year 2005. He was ranked #1 in the Top 100 Players of 2011. In 2015, Tom was connected to the “Deflate-Gate” cheating scandal involving the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts. A NFL investigation said Tom was “generally aware” of the cheating, and he was suspended four games for his role in “Deflate-Gate.”
