Elsa Pataky (born Elsa Lafuente Medianu on July 18, 1976 in Madrid, Spain) is a Spanish model and actress. Elsa grew up in Spain, attending CEU San Pablo University to study journalism and acting classes. She was a member of the Madrid theater company, Teatro Cámara de Ángel Gutiérrez. Elsa eventually left school when she landed a role in the television series, Al salir de clase. She landed a role as Vera Hidalgo in Queen of Swords in 2000, and started appearing in films like The Art of Dying, Less Is More and Tatawo. Though Elsa’s early career include roles in cult movies like Beyond Re-Animator, Romasanta: The Werewolf Hunt and Snakes on a Plane, her big Hollywood break came in 2011, when she played Elena Neves in the Fast and Furious sequel, Fast Five. She would reprise the role in Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7. As a model, Elsa became the female face for the first collection of Time Force’s jewelry line, opposite soccer star, Cristiano Ronaldo.
