Christy Mack has suffered so much at the hand of her despicable ex War Machine that she deserved the amazing opportunity to celebrate his conviction on March 20. Christy chose to honor the ‘great victory’ with a very public message that could help others.
Christy Mack (real name Christine Mackinday), 26, has finally been granted the victory she always deserved and is happy to share the news with all of the world! On March 20, Christy’s ex-boyfriend War Machine (real name Jonathan Paul Koppenhave), 35, was finally convicted for his heinous attack on the porn star after an emotionally draining 8-day trial.
The former MMA competitor was found guilty of both sexually assaulting and kidnapping the porn star during a brutal Aug. 2014 assault, in which Christy said War Machine broke into her house and beat her for two hours before she was able to escape. Though Christy could still be focusing on that dark period in her life for years to come, on the day of the conviction she took to Twitter to express her immense joy over the outcome of the trial.
“Today was a great victory for myself, as well as victims of DV everywhere. Please continue to speak out, and stay strong!” Christy tweeted. Christy followed up that amazing message of strength and hope with another inspiring tweet.
“Thank you all for your support through the years, please continue to support others in similar situations, and BELIEVE them,” Christy wrote. What an amazing way to take a horrific event you endured and use it as a way to try and make sure others who suffer through similar tragedies get the help they need. Christy truly is an inspiration to all the survivors of sexual abuse and kidnapping in the world.
