This is SO shocking. Dwyane Wade tragically lost his cousin to gun violence on Aug. 26. And as he grieves, Donald Trump made it a point to mention the basketball player’s loss to get African-American votes. See the angry tweets dumping Trump here.
“My cousin was killed today in Chicago. Another act of senseless gun violence. 4 kids lost their mom for NO REASON. Unreal.#EnoughIsEnough,” D. Wade 34, tweeted on Aug. 26, following the news of his cousin, Nykea Aldridge’s death. The 32-year-old woman was reportedly struck by a stray bullet in accidental shooting, while pushing a stroller in Chicago. This is so devastating. Many of the Chicago Bulls star’s fans flocked to social media to offer their condolences. But Trump, 70, on the other hand, mentioned the recent tragedy in what might be one of his worst tweets ever. “Dwayne Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP,” Trump tweeted only moments after. Whoa, we are in shock!
Immediately, fans took to Twitter to blast the Republican presidential nominee for his lack of judgment and compassion. “Donald Trump saying I told you so on the killing of Dwyane Wade’s cousin instead of calling for common sense gun control. He is disgusting,” one person tweeted. “Donald Trump using the death of Dwayne Wade’s family member as a marketing tool to get the “black vote”. He is mentally challenged, clearly,” another chimed in. Others pointed out that along with his “disrespectful” remarks, Trump also spelled his name incorrectly as “Dwayne,” instead of “Dwyane.” “You are very DISRESPECTFUL to the Wade’s Family and America! Also, you MISSPELLED
#DwyaneWade name…SMH,” a fan wrote.
Following the uproar, Donald took to Twitter again to offer his deepest condolences for Dwyane and his recent loss. “My condolences to Dwyane Wade and his family, on the loss of Nykea Aldridge. They are in my thoughts and prayers,” he tweeted hours after his first tweet. But it seems the damage was already done.
My condolences to Dwyane Wade and his family, on the loss of Nykea Aldridge. They are in my thoughts and prayers.

Trump’s tweets come only a short period after the Republican began his campaign to win over the African-American vote in the upcoming elections. Trump and Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, 68, have been head to head, fighting for the African-American vote, appealing to various needs within the community. During the Republican campaign rally in Dimondale, Michigan on Aug. 26, Trump made headlines after he insisted that African-Americans who voted for Hillary would be more detrimental than helpful. He also tried to appeal to the demographic by commenting on current living conditions. “You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good,” Trump stated. “You have no jobs, 58% of your youth is unemployed — what the hell do you have to lose?” OMG! He just doesn’t stop!

Donald is of course no stranger to controversy, but this is definitely one of his most insane stunts yet as he makes a run for the White House. Currently, the polls show Hillary beating Trump in the African-American vote, %91-1, according to NBC News/Wall Street Journal polls. His latest tweet may just cost him more supporters.
