Caitlyn Jenner is getting support from all over Hollywood after her unbelievable speech at the ESPYS on July 15. The 66-year-old took the stage in a floor length, white Versace gown and inspired the thousands of people who were watching to be more accepting and love one another for who they are, even if that means someone is different than you. Several celebrities spoke out on Twitter immediately following her speech to thank her for helping change the world with her story and it was very moving to see all of the tweets!
Caitlyn told the audience, which included 9 of her children, that she would be doing a disservice if she didn’t try to change the world with what she went through. Caitlyn received a standing ovation as she walked out on the stage and was handed her award by US Women’s Soccer team, Abby Wambach and it was breathtaking!
Some of the highlights from Caitlyn’s speech were: “If you want to call me names, make jokes, doubt my intentions, go ahead,” Caitlyn said in her speech. “I can take it. But the reality is for the thousands of kids out there coming to terms with who they are, they shouldn’t have to take it. So for the people out there wondering what this is all about, whether it’s about courage or publicity, it’s about what happens from here. It’s not just about one person. It’s about thousands of people. It’s not just about me, it’s about all of us accepting one another.” She also said: “The last few months have been a whirlwind … but to tell you the truth I feel like every time I turn around in life I’m putting myself in these high pressure situations but I’ve never felt more pressure than I have in my life picking out this outfit … okay girls, I get it!”
