Kate Beckinsale (born Kathrin Romary Beckinsale July 26, 1973 in Finsbury Park, London, United Kingdom) is an English actress. She made her film debut in Much Ado About Nothing in 1993 while she was still a student at Oxford University. She has starred in dozens of films since then, her most notable being Pearl Harbor, Serendipity, The Aviator, Click, Van Helsing and the Underworld series. Kate was in a relationship with actor Michael Sheen from 1995 to 2003. They have one daughter together, Lily Mo Sheen. Kate married director Len Wiseman in 2004.
Best Known For:
Kate is best known for her role as Selene in the Underworld movies. She’s also recognized for playing the love interest of Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett in Pearl Harbor.
Personal Life:
Kate was in an 8-year relationship with Masters of Sex star Michael Sheen. The couple never married. Their daughter, Lily, was born in 1999. After their split, Kate married director Len Wiseman in 2004. Len filed for divorce in Oct. 2016.
