Bio:
Ashley Tisdale (born July 2, 1985 in Deal, New Jersey) is an American actress and singer who rose to fame playing Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical film series. The popularity of High School Musical earned Tisdale her own solo record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. Her debut album Headstrong was released in February 2007 and debuted at number five in the Billboard 200 and was certified Gold. She followed that with her second studio album Guilty Pleasure in 2009. She has also gained fame in animation as the voice of Candace Flynn in the Disney Channel show Phineas & Ferb. She has also starred in TV as Savannah Monroe in The CW’s 2010 short-lived show Hellcats and the straight-to-DVD High School Musical spin-off Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.
Best Known For:
Ashley’s signature role is that of the annoyingly driven Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical trilogy.
Personal Life:
Ashley is tight with her High School friends Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron. She split from her boyfriend of two years, Scott Speer, in 2011. Afterwards she began dating musician Christopher French in December 2012, and after dating for nine months, they got engaged in August 2013.
