Hey, we were watching that! Netflix went down for around 2 and a half hours in countries all around the globe on Oct. 1, leaving pretty much everyone (including us!) in a panic. One of the biggest problems for Netflix users, outside of having to deal with reality for a change, was the inability to watch the new Netflix series ‘Luke Cage.’ And fans were VOCAL about their issues. Check out some of the best reactions here!
If you were among the many just sitting down to start season 1 of Netflix’s Luke Cage around 3:00 p.m. ET on Oct. 1, then you were out of luck. The streaming service had just gone down and wouldn’t be back up again until around 5:30 p.m. Netflix was completely aware of the problem and on top of it right away, though the cause was unknown. “Hi all – we aware of streaming issues and we are working quickly to solve them. We will update you when they are solved,” they tweeted at 3:25 p.m.

Though the world was crying out in pain because they couldn’t get their Netflix fix on their TVs and computers — seriously, it was down on those devices in several countries, including South America, France, Italy, Portugal and Germany, to name a few — the streaming service did continue working on both smartphones tablets. But it just wasn’t enough for some viewers, who needed their Luke Cage and needed it NOW.

The best thing was, the show actually got in on the fun and tweeted out a reminder to watch your mouths while making fun of the server issues, referencing the swear jar consistently used in the series. And we have to admit, we may have put a dollar or two in there while we were frustratingly trying to find out what was going on!

But, all is well that ends well, and Netflix came back and will live to fight another day. As for the fate of Luke Cage? Well, we will just have to keep watching the series to find out. As long as those servers keep going, we’ll keep binging.
