Breakups are never easy, but they become even more tricky when infidelity rumors are thrown into the mix. Heidi Klum sat down with Katie Couric on the Sept. 12 episode of Katie to set the record straight about her divorce from Seal.
When asked about Seal’s accusation that Heidi cheated with “the help,” the supermodel smirked and said, “Yeah, he has a very unique choice of words.”

“I don’t love that,” she continued, “and it’s obviously not true when I never looked at another man while I was with him.”

Timing aside, the Project Runway host seems quite smitten with her new bodyguard-turned-boyfriend Martin Kirsten.

“I’ve known him for four years and he’s been with our family for the last four years,” Heidi explained. “He’s cared for our entire family and I trust him tremendously. I trust him with my children’s life. He’s a great man.”

Though Heidi said doesn’t know where the “relationship” will lead, or if she can even “call it that,” the mother of four has nothing but praise for the new man in her life.

“He’s a great man,” she gushed. “We just got to know each other from a completely different side.”

After Seal accused Heidi Klum of cheating on him with bodyguard Martin Kirsten, the supermodel and TV host decided to release a statement and reveal that she’s moved on.

“I cherish all of the great memories Seal and I created together over the years. Our separation was based on issues between the two of us.  Seal has moved on and so have I.  My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children.” Heidi tells HollywoodLife.com.

Heidi’s statements comes after Seal told TMZ that he wished Heidi, 39, had “waited until we separated first before deciding to ‘fornicate with the help.’” Seal later clarified that he wasn’t insinuating Heidi cheated on him before their January separation.

Seal — You’re being big-time selfish! Telling the paparazzi — of all people — that you believe your ex, Heidi Klum, cheated on you with the family’s bodyguard, Martin Kirsten, is victimizing four little people you love.

Yes, that would be daughters Leni, 8, and Lou, 2, as well as sons Henry, 6, and Johan, 5.

Aren’t your children supposed to be the most important, precious thing in the world to you? Don’t you want to protect them? You should. You’re their dad.

That’s why you have to hold in your anger for your ex, even if it’s difficult. Yes, I’m sure it’s very hard to see Heidi moving on with her life. You had many happy years together. However, that ended in a separation last January.

Now both of you are free to take the next steps in your lives — including romantically. Still, you are clearly upset and jealous that Heidi is getting involved in a new relationship.

And again, that’s normal and understandable.

What isn’t understandable, and is terribly wrong, is that you’re lashing out verbally at the mother of your children in public.

It would be bad enough if you accused Heidi of cheating on you in private — and a source close to the situation assures HollywoodLife.com that it’s absolutely not true — but to do it in public is inexcusable.

You are straight up, flat out just hurting, upsetting and embarrassing your kids. It’s already traumatic for children to have their parents divorce. Their world is rocked. Children, of course, want their parents to be together for always.

But there’s a lot that a mommy and a daddy can do to ease their anxiety. And one of the key things is to NOT attack each other nor try and put their children into the middle of a tug-of-war.

When you accuse Heidi of cheating and do it in front of the cameras for the world to see, you are telling your children that you don’t care about their feelings, and also that want them to side with you against their mom.

That’s just terrible. Kids are to be protected. They aren’t pawns. Furthermore, you know that Heidi is a great mother and that your kids are the center of her universe.

You should be trying to be the best dad you can be for your darlings. It’s time to zip your lips, apologize to Heidi and your kids for being a giant jerk, and then work on having the most positive relationship you can have with Heidi.

Believe me — I was a child of a bad divorce — and I know that your kids will thank you if you do that.

Heidi Klum is “very upset” following Seal‘s “crazy, untrue accusations” that she began dating bodyguard Martin Kirsten before she and Seal were separated. “Seal is upset that she’s moved on and is having a relationship with someone from their camp that he used to like and would have liked to have on his team,” a source close to the former couple tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. 

For now, our source insists that “Heidi is focusing on family and moving forward with her life. It’s her time to take care of her family. She’s not interested in going out dating and clubbing. Martin is in her inner circle of five people she trusts and loves and relies on.”

And Heidi’s not the only person who’s enjoying having Martin around. Her children —Leni, 8, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2 — are also crazy about him!

“[Martin] knows her kids, he loves her kids, and the kids love him,” our source says. “It’s hard to find somebody to know your kids and who will care for your kids. It’s lonely to do it alone and have nobody who cares for your kids like you do. It’s awful that [Seal] is putting down the mother of his children in front of the children. It’s someone who’s a very angry person, not someone who has his kids’ interests in mind.”

Our source is also surprised at Seal’s accusations, because they seem totally out of character.

“Seal normally gets off a plane and calls paparazzi ‘scumbags,’” the source explains. “He’s mercurial at best. He doesn’t act like he’s doing a 60 Minutes interview with paparazzi.”

HollywoodLife.com also reached out to Heidi’s rep, who had this to say:

“It’s sad that [Seal] has to resort to false accusations.”

When Heidi Klum and Seal announced their separation in Jan. 2012, we all marveled at how maturely they were both handling the shocking split — but now it sounds like there’s a whole lot more to the story. Multiple sources tell In Touch that Heidi has been “seeing” her 39-year-old bodyguard Martin Kirsten for three months, adding that “she’s so happy and feels so safe around him.” But what does Heidi’s ex have to say about it?

Nothing good, as it turns out. TMZ’s cameras caught up with Seal Aug. 31, and he pretty much tore into the new couple.

Here’s what he had to say:

“That’s what happens when two people separate. They move on, and that generally means other people in their lives. I certainly don’t expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always, my main priority is the emotional well-being of our children. And to be quite honest, if there is going to be somebody else in their lives, I’d much rather it be a familiar face. I wouldn’t have expected any better from him, but I wish Heidi would have shown a little more class and at least waited until we separated first before she started to fornicate with the help. But I guess you all now have the answer you’ve been looking for the past seven months.”

Ouch! Not only did Seal accuse Heidi of having no class, but he also said the public now has the answer it’s been looking for. Was he insinuating that Heidi’s relationship with Martin began right after they decided to separate?

UPDATE: A rep for Heidi tells HollywoodLife.com, “It’s sad that [Seal] has to resort to false accusations.” We’ve also obtained exclusive details about Heidi’s relationship with Martin, including how it began ”well after” Heidi’s separation from Seal!

Heidi Klum is reportedly too busy being a mom to her four kids, Leni, 8, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2, that she has no interest in pursuing another man. While her ex-husband Seal has moved on with a sexy brunette, Heidi is more concrerned with being a mommy.

“As a mother, you can’t just call in sick when you’re lovesick,” the Project Runway host told Grazia magazine.

Even though the 39-year-old stunner could have any man she wanted, she doesn’t want to take time away from her kids.

“She hasn’t gone on one date since splitting,” a source told In Touch magazine. “She gets loads of offers from guys, but she’s just not interested in dating yet.”

Seal, on the other hand, was spotted with a mystery woman on July 4, on a boat off the shores of Porto Cervo, Italy. The two cuddled and cozied up, so it seems Heidi’s ex has had no problem moving on.

As Heidi films Project Runway in New York, her kids are her main focus right now.

“Work is her second priority. She’s a working mom, and that’s how she sees herself,” the source said. “Her children are her top priority.”

Heidi Klum and Seal parted ways amicably after they announced their split, but things recently became bitter after Heidi filed for divorce on April 6. She claims they had a postnuptial agreement, which means no joint community assets will be split. It only took Seal four days to fire back saying in a divorce petition that there are “community and quasi community assets,” as well as firing back about the custody agreement Heidi arranged!

“He’s bitter about the break-up,” an insider tells Star magazine. “Of course he’s trying to get whatever he can out of this.”

Heidi, 38, is worth an estimated $70 million and Seal is worth just about $15 million — that’s quite the difference!

What was most shocking about his divorce petition was the 49-year-old singer requested joint legal custody of the Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5 and two-year-old Lou. Heidi wants primary physical custody of their brood, while the father is allowed visitation rights.

“He’d disappear for weeks and leave her with the kids, without telling her where he was,” the insider adds. “That’s one reason they’re getting divorced.”

The insider insists Seal is a “deadbeat dad!”

Let’s hope Heidi & Seal can solve their issues without dragging the kids in the middle!

Seal, 49, filed legal paperwork April 10 in response to Heidi Klum‘s divorce petition, requesting joint physical custody of his four children, Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2, reports TMZ. 

In January, the couple of nearly seven years announced they were ending their marriage. Heidi, 39, filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Days later, Seal disputed her request, asking for joint physical custody with visitation, as she requested primary physical custody.

In the papers, Heidi (who’s worth an estimated $70 million) claims they have a post nuptial agreement, meaning there are no joint or community assets. Meanwhile, Seal (who’s worth approximately $15 million) says there are “community and quasi-community assets,” with no mention of the post-nup.

Hopefully, the two can work it out for their kids!
