Twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, 25, both look stunning on the covers of ELLE UK magazine — and they clean up nicely. The fashionistas showcase their distinctive styles, both different in their own ways, but one sister hit higher than the other!

Mary-Kate donned a bejeweled white collared top, while Ashley stuns in a bejeweled Dolce & Gabbana dress. We have to go with Ashley, she is a vision on the cover. Ashley told the mag, “We are perfectionists. We’ve always wanted to be closely involved with everything, totally hands on – that’s why it works. If we step away, it stops working. I know it sounds controlling, but that’s how it has to be.”

The Olsen twins may appear to take a nonchalant approach to style, but apparently they have a penchant for pricey accessories — and they are designing them for the masses! While the handbags for their label, The Row, are classic and chic they come with a hefty price tag, with the smallest (and cheapest) bag retailing for a whopping $4,700.

The crocodile backpack Ashley is seen carrying is the most expensive in the collection, selling for $39,000. The bag is so expensive, it’s even selling for more than Victoria Beckham‘s priciest purse, a $29,000 large luggage handbag.

While it’s quite shocking that the Olsens are selling a bag in the same range as a crocodile Birkin, (which could go for up to $40,000), two pre-orders for the backpack have already been placed at Barney’s. The store’s fashion director, Amanda Brooks, told Fashionista why she thinks the bag is worth stocking in stores.

“I think if you were ever going to spend $39,000 on a bag, that’s the bag you should buy because I think you’d wear it for a really long time,” she said. “There’s enough design to make it interesting and beautiful but they truly are classic bags – and I think you also might be the only one who has it.”

While I couldn’t begin to fathom spending so much money on this bag, (or any other type of handbag, for that matter), we can definitely expect to see the backpack make a big return — and I definitely welcome the revival of the practical style. Don’t try to act like you didn’t enjoy the late ’90s when the mini backpacks were all the rage!

Kate Middleton is worshipped for her good looks and fashion sense, but the pin-thin royal is now being positioned as a role model for pro-anorexic websites!

Kate, 30, is drawing positive attention on sites and message boards which celebrate unhealthy body behavior, Today Health reports.

Visitors to such sites are ignoring Kate’s fashion sense in favor of commenting on her pin-thin frame, offering praise such as, “Awesome post, she’s so thin, she looks amazing!”

Victoria Beckham and Mary-Kate Olsen are frequent “role models” on these sites, and Kate’s sister Pippa is also getting traction!

Jill M. Pollack, director of the Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia, says it’s especially dangerous when global icons such as the Middletons are used to promote unhealthy behavior.

“Every little girl at one time wants to be a princess, and these images will not only reach teenagers but middle and elementary schoolers,” she says. “To have the Middleton sisters [on pro-anorexic sites] is like, oh my God, a disaster waiting to happen.”
