It shouldn’t be a surpise as Bruno and Arnold have had a friendship that dates back more than 40 years. Growing up in Austria, The Terminator idolized Sammartino and admired the extraordinary strength he displayed in the ring. After meeting face-to-face in 1967, they often worked out together, and Schwarzenegger was even in attendance for a number of Sammartino’s main event matches.

Sammartino continued to be a huge inspiration to Schwarzenegger during his entire career. In March 2013, Schwarzenegger was present as Sammartino was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in Columbus, Ohio.

“It is an honor to induct ‘The Living Legend’ Bruno Sammartino into the WWE Hall of Fame,’” said Arnold Schwarzenegger, “It will be a historic night as he headlines Madison Square Garden again.” And for the man receiving the amazing honor, Bruno mentioned, “I am humbled that Arnold Schwarzenegger will be inducting me into the WWE Hall of Fame,” adding, “The kindness and support that Arnold has shown me over the years is truly overwhelming.”

At 93, Joe Weider sadly passed away on Saturday, but the world is not yet moving on. Celebrities have begun tweeting their sadness and condolences to the king of bodybuilding. It all began with an official statement from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Joe Weider created a full empire; he created dietary supplements, competitive muscle-building contests and several muscle magazines – Muscle and Fitness, Flex, Men’s Fitness and Shape.

Even though he’s passed away, he will be remembered for not all the great things he did, but all the great people he influenced.

Celebs’ Twitter Reactions To Joe’s Death

Arnold was one of many to use social media to express how much Joe would be missed. In addition to a full statement, The Terminator actor tweeted: “Today, I lost a dear friend and mentor.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Issues Official Statement

Joe was known for discovering Arnold as one of the best body builders of all time. On Mar. 23, Arnold let the world know just how important Joe was to him:

“Joe didn’t just inspire my earliest dreams; he made them come true the day he invited me to move to America to pursue my bodybuilding career. I will never forget his generosity. One of Joe’s greatest qualities is that he wasn’t just generous with his money; he freely gave of his time and expertise and became a father figure for me.”

“He was there for me constantly throughout my life, and I will miss him dearly.”

“He leaves behind a fantastic legacy of a fitter world. Arnold Schwarzenegger is speaking to German magazine Bild about his marital woes with Maria Shiver. On Jan. 22, Arnold told the magazine, “We’re not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation. I still love Maria.” Do you think she will forgive him?

Maria filed for divorce back in 2011, after it was revealed that Arnold fathered a child with their nanny and maid Mildred Patricia Baena. Awkwardly, a source told HollywoodLife.com that Maria used to joke that Mildred’s son looked like Arnold!

He released a tell-all book called Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story in October 2012. While doing press for the book, he admitted, “It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.”

Maria Is Not Ready To Forgive

In January 2012, a report from Radar Online says Maria has no desire to get back together with Arnold.

“Maria has absolutely no plans to reconcile with Arnold. He was pressuring her during the holidays to get back together. They did spend a lot of time together during that time, but it was for the children only. They get along very well, but Maria can’t ever trust him again. Arnold Schwarzenegger has remained relatively quiet regarding the scandal that tore his marriage to Maria Shriver apart, but as the former governor of California has a new book to promote, he’s finally opening up on the pain he caused his family!

In an interview with 60 Minutes, set to air Sunday, Sept. 30, Arnold was asked by correspondent Lesley Stahl, “Was this just the most unbelievable act of betrayal to Maria?” Arnold, 65, replied, “I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.”

Arnold and Lesley are, of course, referring to the affair that Arnold had with housekeeper Mildred Baena that produced a son, Joseph, who is now a teenager. He writes about the affair in his new book, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, also revealing that he had a second affair during his 25-year marriage. He says that Maria hasn’t read the book.

In the interview, Arnold explained why he chose to open up about his indiscretions in the book. “[Maria] knows that it’s about my whole life and that I would not write a book and kind of leave out that part and make people feel like, ‘Well, wait a minute. Are we just getting a book about his success stories and not talk about his failures?’” he says. “I wanted to write a book about me.”

I honestly believe everyone will find a reason to enjoy the Expendables 2. Whether it is the amazing non-stop action, the hunky legends of all your favorite action films or the brilliant performance by Liam Hemsworth. His character Billy the Kid is an amazing and important addition to the film that makes everything that happens in Expendables 2 have an emotional meaning.

I would also like to add, thank God Liam Hemsworth got the role over Taylor Lautner as its obvious that Taylor Lautner would not in any way be able to deliver the same performance. So adding the heart and the acting skills that Liam delivers in an action movie is not something that is always seen but gladly accepted. People don’t want to be dumbed down, people want to enjoy the escapism of movies and Expendables 2 delivers everything you want in a movie. It delivers 100% of the time.

Everyone is having fun with their roles and accentuating what brought them to the action world and it is a thank you card to the audience. So whatever your plans are this weekend, make sure you add Expendables 2 to the list.

Maria Shriver has a heart of gold! The New York Post is reporting that Maria, a devout Catholic, can’t bring herself to divorce her husband of 25 years Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“Arnold and Maria are having marriage counseling to work through their issues to get back together,” a source says. “He is promising the moon and telling Maria he has completely changed his ways. Maria’s friends are warning her to be careful, saying he’ll never change.”

Maria, 56, dumped Arnold, 64, after she learned he had fathered a child with their longtime housekeeper Mildred Baena and that he had been cheating on her for years.

“Arnold is desperate to win her back, mostly because he realizes he can’t live without her, and partly because he doesn’t have the political clout without her,” the source adds. “Winning her back would be the best way to show the world he has been forgiven for his transgressions.”

Arnold and Maria have been spotted out shopping and eating with their four children over the past several weeks.
