Vanessa Williams (born Vanessa Lynn Williams on March 18, 1963 in Millwood, New York) is an American singer, actress, producer and former 1984 Miss America. As a singer, Williams has released seven albums, the latest being 2009’s The Real Thing. As an actress, she has starred in the films Eraser, Shaft and Soul Food, as well as on the television series Ugly Betty. She also has a role on the upcoming Fox comedy titled Fantasy Life.

Williams first married public relations consultant Ramon Hervey II in 1987, though they divorced in 1997. They have two daughters together, Melanie and Jillian, and a son, Devin. Williams then married NBA basketball player Rick Fox in 1999. They have a daughter, Sasha. They divorced in 2004 after Fox was caught cheating with another woman. In September 2014, Williams announced that she was engaged to former accountant Jim Skrip, and they were married on July 4, 2015.
