The Vampire Diaries
‘The Vampire Diaries’ family suffered a huge loss with the death of their beloved crew member, Sarah Jones. Nina Dobrev and her cast mates let the world know just how special Sarah was by honoring her on social media. Now, they’re petitioning for Hollywood to honor her at the Academy Awards.
Sarah Jones, a crew member on The Vampire Diaries, 27, died tragically on February 20, when she was hit by a train on the Georgia set of her latest project, “Midnight Rider.” Yesterday, Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder took to Twitter and Instagram to publicly express their love for Sarah. Today, they’re taking even more action — the actors are promoting a petition to celebrate their late friend at the Oscars. For more information on the petition, continue reading.
Is Katherine finally being ejected from Elena’s body for good? Plus, get more scoop from the March 6 episode!
Only a select few know that “Elena” (Nina Dobrev) is actually Katherine, but that number is about to grow exponentially. The March 6 episode of The Vampire Diaries finds Stefan (Paul Wesley), Caroline (Candice Accola) and Matt (Zach Roerig) conjuring a “desperate new plan to save Elena’s life,” according to the description of the episode, titled “Gone Girl.”
Plus, is Damon headed to the dark side… again?! No offense to Matt, but this was probably one of Mystic Falls’ worst parties ever.
In case you’re not yet aware, Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) is a life ruiner. Even when she doesn’t have her own body, she still manages to throw a wrench in all that is good and pure in Mystic Falls. Case in point: Damon (Ian Somerhalder) pulled out all the stops to win back Elena on the Jan. 30 episode of The Vampire Diaries — honestly, he was speaking so selflessly, I almost wondered if it was really him — but because Katherine was currently behind the wheel, she had Elena tell him off and walk away.
Check out our sneak peek of Thursday’s ‘Vampire Diaries,’ featuring a major ‘Forwood’ moment.
Warning: The following clip from the Jan. 30 episode of The Vampire Diaries is guaranteed to trigger a few emotions. Not only are we being blessed with Matt (Zach Roerig) and Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) rekindled bromance, but Mr. Lockwood also hints at his intentions to get back together with Caroline (Candice Accola)! It’s like all is right with the world again.
Celebrities really are just like us. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ hunk Ian Somerhalder posted a hilarious Instagram pic with his cat Moke that proves once and for all that all cats really are the overlords of their owners — even if the owner just so happens to be a Hollywood megastar.
Poor Ian Somerhalder. Every cat owner has dealt with the humiliation of being used as a human chair to please a kitty’s ever-changing whims, and The Vampire Diaries star’s cat Moke took things to the next level by seizing total control of his owner’s butt.
Familiar faces, new twists and one hell of a hookup made for an unforgettable 100th episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries.’
Can you believe it’s been 100 episodes already? It feels like only yesterday that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) sauntered into Mystic Falls, accompanied by some rolling fog and that ridiculous crow — neither of which I was sad to see disappear forever. Anyway, the Jan. 23 episode of The Vampire Diaries was more than just a milestone for The CW’s popular fang-fest; it was a 60-minute reminder of why we’ve loved, and will always love, this epic gem of a show.
Would you support Caroline & Stefan finally getting together? New details about an upcoming episode hint that ‘Steroline’ is a possibility.
In my opinion, the writing has been on the wall for a while: Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) are bound to get together eventually; not only because he’s one of the only guys left on her Mystic Falls checklist, but because they’ve had crazy chemistry for years. When The Vampire Diaries returns Jan. 23, it sounds like ‘Steroline’ could begin to find its footing.

‘Tis the season to gawk at more shirtless were-dudes! That’s right, HollywoodLife.com is using the winter premiere of Teen Wolf — this Monday, Jan. 6, at 10 p.m. on MTV — as an excuse to once again flip through our rolodex of hot Hollywood howlers in a futile attempt to settle upon one as the sexiest of the pack. Who knew Nina Dobrev had such great moves? The ‘Vampire Diaries’ star once again joined her ex-boyfriend Derek Hough’s family for the holidays, and this year she participated in the family’s insane Instagram dance-off. Check out the videos below!
Nina Dobrev, 24, clearly knows how to have a good time. The Vampire Diaries star once again joined BFF Julianne Hough and her rowdy family for some holiday fun, and this time she even participated in a Christmas dance-off with her ex-boyfriend Derek Hough.
Very sad. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ star Paul Wesley finalized his divorce from ‘Pretty Little Liars’ actress Torrey DeVitto just in time for Christmas.
The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley, 31, and his Pretty Little Liars ex Torrey DeVitto, 29, are officially no more. The now former lovebirds finalized their divorce on Dec. 23, TMZ reports. Find out why below!
Executive producer Caroline Dries promises that ‘Delena’ will be pushed ‘in the right direction’ on the series’ major milestone episode.
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) may have called it quits on the Dec. 12 midseason finale of The Vampire Diaries, but as you probably suspected, their ‘breakup’ is really just a break. The next episode, airing Jan. 23, will pick up immediately following the sinking of their ship — and executive producer Caroline Dries says fans should anticipate a “fun” reaction from both sides.
Plus, is another fan-favorite character about to die? Like, actually die? Get our thoughts on the midseason finale, then share yours.
Just when you thought Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) dead parent problems couldn’t become any more complicated, the Dec. 12 episode of The Vampire Diaries revealed that her dad was the scientist who designed the very experiments currently being conducted on her. Of course, the torture she experienced on the operating table wasn’t nearly as bad as the emotional torture she would face at the end of the midseason finale.
Plus, a long-anchored (pun intended) ship sets sail once again — and I’m already rooting for them.
No boyfriend was safe on the Nov. 21 episode of The Vampire Diaries, especially when pointy objects were involved. Not only did Katherine (Nina Dobrev) successfully purge Gregor from Matt’s body — God, I’m going to miss Zach Roerig’s Czech accent — but her doppelganger also had a nasty encounter with Caroline’s (Candice Accola) new squeeze. Needless to say, there’s going to be a ton of Facebook status-changing tonight.
Three Ninas. Three deaths. One incredible episode.
I hope Nina Dobrev took a nice long nap after shooting the Nov. 14 episode of The Vampire Diaries, because that girl worked her butt off. In fact, she worked all three of her butts off, as the doppelgangers were the key components in Tessa’s (Janina Gavankar) spell to make Bonnie (Kat Graham) the new anchor to the other side. And while the ladies’ efforts paid off by the end of the hour, achieving their goal came at a price. A deadly price. Three people died!
Mr. Mikaelson is racking up some serious frequent flier miles! But what’s bringing him back to ‘The Vampire Diaries’?
Just when we started to get used to seeing Tyler (Michael Trevino) in the Big Easy, another Vampire Diaries/Originals crossover is reportedly on the way! Joseph Morgan’s villain-ish Klaus will return to Mystic Falls before the show’s fifth season ends, TVGuide.com reports, though further details about his visit are being kept under wraps for now.
