Tamron Hall (born Tamron Hall) in Tuling, Texas] on on September 16, 1970) is a national correspondent for NBC News and daytime anchor for MSNBC. Additionally, she is a co-anchor for daytime telvision’s Today’s Take and a host of her own program, MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall. After receiving her BA from Temple University in Philadelphia, Tamron quickly began pursuing job opportunities in broadcast journalism. In 1997, she took up a position at WFLD-TV in Chicago, Illinois, and worked there until 2009. Following her time in Chicago, she served as a general reporter for anchor, Keith Olbermann on Coutndown with Keith Olberman, and later hosted her own segment, Newsnation with Tamron Hall. In 2014, she left her previous broadcast positions, and joined MSNBC and NBC.
Best Known For:
Tamron Hall is best known for her broadcasting segments on MSNBC and NBC. During her time there, she has interviewed President Barack Obama before he announced his presidential campaign in 2008, and broadcasted live from Ground Zero after the death of Osama Bin Laden. She is also known for starting a campaign fighting against domestic violence.
Personal Life:
Tamron Hall’s sister was murdered in 2004, following a domestic violence incident at her home. Her sister’s murder inspired her fight against domestic abuse, and influenced Today’s “Shine A Light” campaign, which supports many who suffer from hunger, homelessness, and abuse.
