Jennifer Hudson (born Jennifer Kate Hudson on September 12, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American singer, actress, and spokesperson. She rose to fame in 2004, as a finalist on American Idol. In 2006, Jennifer made her film debut in Dreamgirls, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, an NAACP Image Award, and also a Screen Actors Guild Award. Jennifer’s debut album, Jennifer Hudson, was released in 2008, and was certified gold, also winning her a Grammy. In 2010, she became the spokesperson for Weight Watchers. Her second album, I Remember Me, was released in March 2011, and was also certified gold.

Jennifer Hudson is best known for her time competing on American Idol, her performance in Dreamgirls, and for her drastic weight loss which landed her a gig as a Weight Watchers spokeswoman.
Personal Life:
In 2008, Jennifer’s mother, brother, and nephew were killed in a shooting. She became engaged to professional wrestler, David Otunga, in September 2008; and in August 2009, Jennifer gave birth to a baby boy, David Daniel Otunga Jr.
