Bio:
Gillian Anderson (born August 9, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American-Biritsh film and television actress, as well as a writer and activist. She most notably played the role of FBI Special Agent Dana Scully in the X-Files, as well as Lily Bart in The House of Mirth. She also has credits in Shadow Dancer, The Last King of Scotland, Hannibal and Great Expectations. Currently, Gillian will portray Edwina Mountbatten in the upcoming British-Indian drama Viceroy’s House. She will also continue her role as DSI Stella Gibson the TV show, The Fall. In February 2016, it was confirmed Gillian would appear in the political thriller Official Secrets alongside Harrison Ford.

Personal Life:
Gillian is an avid art collector, as well as an active philanthropist. She is known to support to LGBTQ community, supporting the Trevor Project, in particular. She also supports Childreach International, a charity that works with local communities in the developing world to secure children’s rights. Gillian has called herself a feminist. She married Clyde Klotz, an X-Files assistant art director, in 1994 during a Buddhist ceremony. Their daughter, Piper Maru, was morning September 25, 1994. The couple divorced in 1997. She married filmmaker Julian Ozanne on December 29, 2004. They separated in April 2006. Gillian and her former boyfriend, Mark Griffiths, have two sons, Oscar, born November 1, 2006 and Felix, October 15, 2008. She ended their relationship in 2012.
