Zach, who was born with achondroplasia, a common form of dwarfism, recently underwent emergency brain surgery, and Tori’s stepped up in a major way to support her husband. Tori revealed on Instagram that Zach “is doing well and recovering” after his surgery, which fans were relieved to hear.
Fans met Zach when Little People, Big World premiered in 2006. The show is about his family, including his parents Matt and Amy. Zach fell in love with Tori on the show and they now live in Washington with their three children. Here is everything you need to know about Tori and her marriage to Zach.
Who Is Tori Roloff?
Tori was born on May 3, 1991, in Portland, Oregon. Her birth name is Victoria Elizabeth Patton, but she always goes by Tori. She worked on the Roloff family’s farm in Oregon, which is how she met Zach. She revealed on Little People, Big World that she worked as a kindergarten teacher after she graduated from college.
Now, Tori works as a photographer. She has her own website and Instagram page for her photography business, Tori Roloff Photography. In her bio, Tori says that she’s “been taking photos of basically everything” since she was 15 years old. She mostly takes maternity photos and family photos.
Tori’s Marriage To Zach Roloff
Tori met Zach in 2010 while working on the Roloff farm in Hillsboro, Oregon. Tori reflected on the start of her and Zach’s love story in a 2017 interview with PEOPLE. “A coworker told me, ‘Zachary really thinks you’re cute, but doesn’t think you’ll ever go out with him,’ ” Tori said. “Our first date lasted five hours, and we’ve been together ever since.” Zach said in that interview that Tori “brought me out of my shell and made me more social. She gave me confidence.”
After three years of dating, Zach proposed to Tori on April 29, 2014. “She said yes!” Zach wrote on Facebook when he announced the engagement. “It’s been a brilliant 24 hours and totally excited for what the future holds,” he added. Zach and Tori got married over a year later, on July 25, 2015, on the Roloff farm. They said “I Do” in a romantic ceremony that included nearly 200 guests, according to PEOPLE. The wedding aired as part of a TLC special ahead of season 15 on April 26, 2016.
Tori Roloff’s Children
Zach and Tori have three children: son Jackson Kyle (born May 2017), daughter Lilah Ray (born November 2019), and son Josiah Luke (born April 2022). All three children were born with dwarfism, like their father. Zach and Tori suffered a tragic miscarriage in 2021, but thankfully Tori got pregnant again and they had their “rainbow” baby, which was Josiah.
One month after Josiah’s birth, Tori told HollywoodLife in an EXCLUSIVE interview that her recovery from Baby #3 has been “rough.” She told us, “Everything went really well with the delivery. He just decided to come early. I had to have two C-sections with my previous births, so this one was also a scheduled C-section. But he was still like, I’m going to come earlier. The recovery this time was rough, but the birth itself was great.” Tori also said Jackson and Lilah love their baby brother. “It’s sweet. They’ve just been so obsessed with him. They want to help.”
Zach and Tori moved from Oregon to Battle Ground, Washington, where they’re now happily raising their three kids. “We got a school for Jackson, which is a huge thing with kids. We just like where we’re at,” Zach told HL. Tori added, “We’re starting to build more community up here. We found a church that we like and good friends and things like that. I grew up here in Washington, so it’s been fun to reconnect with some of my friends, be closer to my dad and everything.”
The couple also confirmed that they probably won’t have a fourth child. “I think we’re good,” Zach said. Tori admitted that it’s “been hard because Josiah is so easy… but I think we’re good.”
