Bio:
Lily Tomlin (born Mary Jean Tomlin on September 1, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American actress and comedian. She is also a writer, singer, and producer. Tomlin has four primetime Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards and a Grammy Award. She also has been given Kennedy Center Honors and two Peabody Awards. Tomlin got her start as a stand-up comedian, and performed in Off-Broadway plays in the 1960s. Her career got going when she joined the variety show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In in 1970. She later had roles in the films Nashville, 9 to 5 and 2015’s Grandma. She currently stars as Frankie Bergstein on the Netflix show Grace and Frankie.

Tomlin met her writing and romantic partner, Jane Wagner, in 1971.
