Kiernan Shipka (born Kiernan Brennan Shipka in Chicago, Illinois on Nov. 10, 1999) is an American actress. She started her career as a baby with commercial print modeling. At the age of 5, her family moved to Los Angeles to support her acting which received a serious boon when she was cast in the hit AMC show Mad Men as Don Draper’s daughter Sally Draper. But prior to that, she had also appeared in Monk, MADtv and Heroes.
After garnering acclaim for her work, she has been cast in a number of other television and film roles including Flowers in the Attic, the horror film The Blackcoat’s Daughter and most recently she’s been cast as the lead in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The show will be a darker version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which was given a lighthearted treatment in the ’90s. Both are based on the Archie Comics character.
Best Known For:
Her portrayal of Sally Draper on AMC’s Mad Men for which she, along with Jon Hamm, January Jones, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss, won the Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Kiernan is an avid foodie and has taken Muay Thai classes.
