Bio:
Jake Johnson (born Mark Jake Johnson Weinberger on May 28, 1978, in Evanston, IL) is an American television and movie actor. His parents divorced when he was just 2 years old, and when he was in high school he decided to take his mother’s last name. While attending the University of Iowa, Jake wrote his first play which earned him admission into NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His play, Cousins, was later performed by off-Broadway group The Ensemble Studio Theater. Later in life Jake began getting guest roles on television and in films while he was working as a production assistant. In 2011, Jake scored a major role in New Girl on FOX, and in 2013 he starred as a lead character in Drinking Buddies — his first lead role in a film. Since then, he has appeared in a handful of big roles, including Let’s Be Cops (2014) and Jurassic World (2015).

Jake is best known for his role as Nick Miller on FOX’s hilarious comedy series, New Girl.
Personal Life:
Jake is married to artist Erin Payne, and the couple tied the knot in 2006.
