The Country Strong actress, 38, and her husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, 33, raise their two kids in London and New York, which had led to them developing some “bizarre” ways of speaking! “Our kids go to school in London so we’re there during the school year and we come back whenever we can, for holidays and summers,” Gwyneth tells Chelsea Handler on her show Chelsea Lately. “Weirdly my son is half-Brooklyn and half-English — he’s got a really strange accent — and my daughter is completely American with me at home or in America, but completely British at school. It’s bizarre.”

Former child star Jodie Sweetin nearly lost her life due to internal bleeding following the birth of her second child on August 31. “As far as nine lives go, I think I’m down to about four,” she tells People magazine.
What should have been one of the happiest moments in Jodie Sweetin’s life turned into a real life nightmare. Shortly after giving birth via scheduled C-section to her daughter, Beatrix, on August 31, she began to feel extremely weak. Before long (she tells People magazine) she “was in excruciating pain.” Doctors soon realized that she was bleeding internally and they rushed her into surgery. “It was terrifying,” says Jodie, 28.

Cher is back in the new film Burlesque, co-starring Christina Aguilera, and she recently spoke to Parade magazine about her struggle to get pregnant with her ex-husband, Sonny Bono. After marrying Sonny in 1963, Cher suffered a string of miscarriages, which she called a “nightmare.” “I lost four kids before Chaz,” the singer, 64, says referring to her daughter Chastity, who underwent a sex change last year and now goes by the name of Chaz). “It’s a spontaneous miscarriage, something that spontaneously aborts the fetus. It’s called an angry uterus. It took a long time for someone to tell me that that’s what it was. It just starts to contract, for no reason. After the third time, it got to be a nightmare. People would be congratulating me because I was pregnant, and then I wouldn’t be, and then they would be like, ‘Oh, we’re so sorry.’ I thought, ‘God, I don’t want to have to hear this anymore.'”
