Elizabeth Smart stormed out of a court hearing for her abductor, Brian David Mitchell, yesterday (Dec. 1) in Salt Lake City, UT, after a witness for the defense testified that she had chosen a baby name, thinking she would get pregnant sometime during her captivity after she was kidnapped from her home at the age of 14 in 2002. Elizabeth became visibly upset after Dr. Paul Whitehead, the clinical director of the forensic unit at Utah State Hospital, brought up information he had gathered from Mitchell’s wife Wanda Barzee’s journal and various police reports — some of it detailing Mitchell’s desire for Elizabeth to become pregnant. “Mitchell was talking to Miss Smart about having babies to the point that Smart actually picked out a name if that happened,” Whitehead testified. It was then that Elizabeth reportedly shot him a cold glare and stormed out of the court room, followed by her mother Lois Smart. How awful!
