Robert Pattinson‘s career is going from strong — could he be leaving behind his vampire ways to become a suave international spy? The current James Bond star Daniel Craig is singing Rob’s acting praises, and according to a new report, he told Rob that he would “make a brilliant Bond.” Well, we know Rob looks good in a tuxedo! This could be a great career move for him, and funnily enough, Daniel previously said that Rob’s girlfriend and former co-star, Kristen Stewart, would “make a great Bond girl.” Read on to see why Daniel thinks Rob should be the next 007!

Robert Pattinson As The Next James Bond?

Daniel is lining up Rob as his replacement, as he plans to hang up his spy tools in the near future in order to start a family with his wife Rachel Weisz.

“Daniel told Rob he’d make a brilliant Bond and would like to see a young talented British actor take on the role,” a source tells OK! ”Daniel’s signed on for two more Bond movies but is convinced he’ll do no more — for one thing, he hopes to start a family with Rachel soon and wants to focus on that.”

And apparently Rob is flattered! ”He’s a monumental fan of Daniel’s and told him so, but he was completely taken aback when the compliments were returned,” says the source. And it looks like Daniel isn’t just impressed with Rob’s onscreen presence.

“Daniel really admires how Robert has handled the intense scrutiny of his personal life — he and Rachel are obsessively private,” says the source. “He really felt for Rob when Kristen Stewart’s cheating played out in the media. To go through that, but also maintain a level of professionalism and carry on working, shows amazing strength of character.”

It looks like Rob will go for the part! In the summer of 2012, Rob revealed in an interview that he would be up for playing the iconic English spy. ”Yeah, I’d definitely go for Bond,” said Rob. And, Kristen has expressed interest in being a Bond girl! When asked if she would like to be one, Kristen said, “As long as I get to have a gun, yes, hell yeah!”

Daniel Craig is currently traveling the world on a promotional tour for his latest James Bond film, Skyfall, and while the movie is getting rave reviews, Daniel is certainly not giving any! After Kristen Stewart‘s recent admission that she would love to play a Bond girl, Daniel was asked for his opinion in an Australian interview, and you will never believe what he said!

Would Kristen Stewart Make a Good Bond Girl?

Daniel appeared on an the Australian radio show, The Kyle and Jackie O Show, where he told hosts Jackie O and Kyle Sandilands that he did not think Kristen would be right for a role in a Bond film, because of her ties to the Twilight franchise. He said: “Would she make a good Bond girl? No, she’s in Twilight.”

He then explained himself: “No, I’m being nasty. It’s only because the film [Skyfall] is coming out at the same time [as Breaking Dawn – Part 2 in Australia], we’re in direct competition! I’m sure she’d make a great Bond girl”.

Well, at least he cleared that up! This is not the first time that Daniel has out his foot in his mouth, as he previously called the Kardashian family “idiots”.

“Bond, James Bond.” No matter how many times we hear that, we still get chills, and Daniel Craig sounds damn good saying it in the brand-new international trailer for the upcoming 007 movie Skyfall. When a top-secret list of agents is leaked, Mr. Bond must return from the “dead” to set things right — and, of course, make sassy banter with Dame Judi Dench‘s “M.”

We doubt Kim Kardashian will still want to be a Bond girl once she reads Daniel Craig‘s new interview! The hunky action star has a few choice words for the Kardashians in the latest issue of GQ – two of those words being “f—ing idiot.”

“Look at the Kardashians, they’re worth millions,” he begins. “I don’t think they were that badly off to begin with, but now look at them. You see that and you think, ‘What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f—ing idiot on television and then you’ll pay me millions?’ I’m not judging it … well, I am obviously.”

Daniel, who kept his wedding to Rachel Weisz a secret this past summer, clearly values his own privacy.

“It’s not about being afraid to be public with your emotions or about who you are and what you stand for,” he adds. “But if you sell it off it’s gone. … You can’t buy your privacy back. ‘Ooh, I want to be alone.’ F–k you! We’ve been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta and now you want some privacy?”

It’s been so long since the last James Bond movie came out, we’d almost forgotten how good Daniel Craig looks in a tux! Fortunately we’ll all be reminded when Skyfall comes out in Nov. 2012, as reported by our sister site Deadline.com. Joining Daniel in the 23rd Bond movie will be Javier Bardem as a villain and Bérénice Marlohe as sexy new Bond girl Severine.

We’d better put Rachel Weisz on bump watch! Sources say the Oscar winner is desperate to start a family with new husband Daniel Craig!

“They really want to make their own family,” an insider tells Star magazine. “It’s very important for them to have a child together — and soon.”

The couple both have kids from previous relationships. Rachel, 41, is mommy to five-year-old son Henry with ex-partner Darren Aronofsky, and 007 star Daniel, 43, has a 19- year-old daughter Ella with ex-wife Fiona Loudon.

But Rachel wants more babies and is even prepared to put her career on the backburner so she can be a full-time mom.

The source adds, “Rachel and Daniel fell hard for each other. He’d give her the moon and stars if she wanted, and what she really wants is a baby. He’s completely happy to have a child with her.

“Rachel was pretty much a workaholic throughout her 30s and privately has said that her relationship with Darren failed because she didn’t have a healthier work-home balance. She doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice – and she thinks Daniel is amazing. She already jokes that their child will be Baby Bond!”
