Bryce Dallas Howard has given birth to a baby girl!

Bryce, 30, gave birth to her second child with husband Seth Gabel on Jan. 19, according to a tweet from her director dad Ron Howard on Jan. 21.

“Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel Born Jan 19 2012 8lbs 6oz Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear :-),” he wrote.

Beatrice’s big brother is 4½-year-old Theo.

Congratulations to the happy family!

I’ll say it: 50/50 is one of the finest movies I’ve seen this year. I’ve never experienced a cancer diagnosis personally, but I’ve never seen an illness movie seem so realistic and natural. It’s rare that characters in tearjerker movies act in ways that real humans do, but that’s a huge reason this movie struck a chord. Furthermore, the cast — anchored by Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a young cancer patient, his best friend Seth Rogen, his therapist Anna Kendrick & his girlfriend Bryce Dallas Howard — balance humor and high-drama with nuanced performances. 1) It manages to find humor and realness in a dark disease, while being respectful of the patient’s plight.

Life gets real super-fast for this young group, but the dark sense of humor this film toes makes these characters seem honest and enhance the drama.

2) Joseph is the perfect straight man, engaging the viewer while whipping out some serious acting chops when necessary.

There’s never been any doubt that JGL is a rock-solid actor, but the nuance he exhibits during 50/50 might just be his best performance yet. He plays through every emotion, and when he finally does haven epic a breakdown late in the movie, it left everyone in the theatre floored.

3) Seth delivers some great comic relief.

It seems gimmicky to put Seth — who essentially plays the variation on his own personality he’s been doing for years — in this movie, but he is the perfect yin to JGL’s yang. His humor cuts deeper and darker than ever before, with a undercurrent of love which is disarming and fragile. Kudos.

4) The characters don’t follow movie cliches — they’re fleshed-out and real!

Ok, Anna’s naive therapist role may be a bit of a stretch, but for the most the choices written in this movie are unpredictable. Considering Hollywood’s love of paint-by-number screenplays, there are many dynamic choices — most notably JGL’s relationship with the two female leads.

5) It’s a fast-paced movie that just relies on conversation — what a relief!

After a summer of high-octane blockbusters and noise, it’s a relief to see great actors chew on some witty dialogue for two hours.

Tori, 39, who is due in October, wore a long, black strapless black gown with a silver sequined jacket while Bryce, due in November, donned an Isabella Oliver Maternity Print Silk Maxi Dress ($479.00) that perfectly showed off her bump and wore TKEES ‘Liners’ in Smoke.

I adore both looks, but I think I’m going to have to go with Tori on this one. She was positively glowing in the dress! Who’s your favorite? VOTE!

‘The Help’ star, who is expecting her second child, is terrified she’ll face the baby blues again: ‘I was in a really dark place.’

Although she’s glowing with pregnancy pride, Bryce Dallas Howard wasn’t always so thrilled about the prospect of motherhood. After the birth of her first child, Theo, now 4, the actress, 30, battled postpartum depression for 18 months, admitting she felt more “normal” the further away she was from her baby son. Can you relate to what Bryce went through, HollyMoms?

“It was so weird because he was born and it was just like this wave of nothingness,” Bryce tells the ladies of The Talk. “It was like the further — again, a terrible thing to admit — but the further away that he was from me, the more normal I felt.”

“It was like the closer in proximity I got to him I just started to get sucked into this kind of really dark place. I mean it was insidious. It was horrible.”

Other stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Courteney Cox also struggled with postpartum depression, admitting they “felt like a zombie” and were experiencing suicidal thoughts after the birth of their children.

Bryce, who is expecting her second baby with actor Seth Grabel, beat depression after undergoing homeopathic treatment for another issue. And although she’s worried about what may happen after the birth of her new addition, Bryce is confident that she’s strong enough to pull through with the support of family and friends.

Bryce Dallas Howard, 30, who just announced she’s expecting her second child, graced the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards last night (June 5), looking as gorgeous and as glowing as ever. Although, she doesn’t feel so glamorous — she’s struggling with nausea! But, she’s found a cure…

“[The glow] is the one good thing that comes along with this,” Bryce told People at the MTV Movie Awards. “I’m still feeling a little nauseous to be honest.” But her nausea seems to go away whenever she gets a glimpse of her hunky — and younger — Twilight co-star, Taylor Lautner!

“I was most star struck meeting them than anyone else I’ve ever met,” Bryce admits of Robert Pattinson, Kristin Stewart and Taylor. “And still if I see Taylor Lautner on the carpet, I’m like, ‘Ooh, there he is. Is he still underage?’” Cougar crush! Hey, if it takes away the symptoms of pregnancy why not!

“It’s great to be at a place like this where it’s kind of relaxed,” she continued. “But it also gets your adrenaline going and it’s sort of eventful. It keeps my mind off the nausea.”

It’s nice to know that there are other moms out there who have little crushes on the Twilight men too, right? We’re sure Bryce’s baby-to-be will be rooting for Team Jacob all the way!

We had a feeling Bryce was expecting after she displayed what looked to be a baby bump on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 12. And now we can confirm the news!

A rep for Bryce Dallas Howard, the daughter of Ron Howard, confirms to UsMagazine.com that the actress is pregnant with her second baby with husband, actor Seth Gabel! We told you first!

The Twilight: Eclipse star, 30, and Seth, 29, already have a 4-year-old son Theo.

Bryce wrote openly about her 18 month bout with postpartum depression on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s GOOP blog in July 2010, but has also raved about her new found love of motherhood.

“I still mourn the loss of what could have been, but I also feel deep gratitude for those who stood by me, for the lesson that we must never be afraid to ask for help, and for the feeling of summer that still remains,” Bryce writes of her past struggle with the baby blues. “In the face of everything, Theo and I are two little peas in a pod.”
