Taylor Schilling (born on July 27, 1984 in Boston Massachusetts) is an American actress. She formed a love of acting at a young age, and dropped out of college in her second year to start auditioning for roles. Taylor made her film debut in 2007’s Dark Matter, and then starred one season on NBC’s Mercy. But Taylor got her big break in The Lucky One, a film based on a Nicholas Sparks book in which she starred alongside Zac Efron. She really gained notoriety, though, for her lead role as Piper Chapman on the Netflix series Orange Is The New Black, which began in 2013. She has been nominated for a Golden Globe and Emmy Award for her work on the show.
