“Anyone singing about trucks, in any form, in any song, anywhere, literally just stop—nobody cares!”
“Make lots of noise/Kiss lots of boys/Or kiss lots of girls/If that's something you're into”
“I’d rather be more of the hippie country chick — as in, instead of pointing a finger, just maybe saying, ‘We’re all screw-ups. We’re all in this kind of together. We’re all just figuring this out.'”
Kacey Musgraves (born Kacey Lee Musgraves in Mineola, Texas on August 21, 1988) is a Grammy Award-winning country star. She first caught the nation’s eye when she appeared on USA Network’s Nashville Star in 2007. She placed seventh, but it was enough to grab the attention of the independent record label Triple Pop, for whom she recorded two songs. Kacey then continued to self-release her own albums, which she’d been doing since she was a teenager in 2002. Kacey got her big break when she opened for Lady Antebellum in 2012; the same year she signed with Mercury Records to record her hit album Same Trailer Different Park and released her first hit single, “Merry Go ‘Round.” Same Trailer Different Park won Country Album of the Year at the 2014 Grammy Awards, while “Merry Go ‘Round” won Best Country Song. In 2014, she will join Katy Perry on her first major U.S. tour.
