We headed to the 30th FN Achievement Awards in NYC, hosted by our sister site, ‘Footwear News,’ & we got to catch up with a ton of our fave celebs! Rihanna was being awarded with the Shoe Of The Year Award, and we asked Ansel Elgort, & more if they would want to walk a mile in her shoes. The results are hilarious & you can watch it all here!
Our sister site, Footwear News, “the industry bible of the shoe business for more than 70 years,” hosted its 30th FN Achievement Awards in NYC on Nov. 29, and we got to interview our favorite celebrities! The 2016 FN Awards was sponsored by the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY), Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA), Zappos Luxury and Two Ten Footwear Foundation (Two Ten).
Our favorite gal, Rihanna, 28, was the first woman ever to win Shoe of the Year Award for her FENTY PUMA Creeper, while Zendaya, 20, was presented with Launch of the Year by Michael Kors for Daya by Zendaya. Aside from these two ladies, we got to catch up with so many other people and we had one question for them: If you could walk a mile in anyone’s shoes, who would it be, and why? The results were amazing.
Michael Atmore, Editor-in-chief of Footwear News, said, “I would walk in John Kennedy’s shoes. I think his life is inspiring and I would love to know more about him and what he was really like.” Ansel Elgort, 22, was hilarious, “Marlon Brando, if I’m walking that means I get to be him for awhile right? I just want to know what’s going on in his head, you know?”
Cuba Gooding Jr., 48, replied, “It would have to be a great director. Like Chris Nolan or Martin Scorsese. Clint Eastwood even – I think he’s still so relevant.” Dascha Polanco, 34, immediately said Rihanna. “She has fun with it, she’s the ‘it girl.’ She does whatever she wants.” When we told her she does the same, she started laughing and said, “ I really do kinda a little bit, that’s why I connect with her! I’m like girl – we’re soul sisters!”
Nicky Hilton, 33, said, “Beyonce because she seems to always be traveling to the most amazing places, she always looks good, she’s very talented, she has a family that she loves, she seems like she’s got it going on.” Chiara Ferragni, our fave fashion blogger, stated, “Rihanna because she is the best so of course. Who wouldn’t want to be Rihanna – come on!” Christie Brinkley was hilarious when she said, “Usain Bolt. I’d get there really fast.” How amazing is that?
We are obsessed with all of these celebrity responses, are you guys?
