It’s not surprising (at all) that this show ended with a bang — what else would ‘True Detective’ do? Season two came to a dramatic end on August 9, and everyone took to social media to freak out, but it ultimately ended in a little bit of confusion.

Everything came to a close on the Aug. 9 season finale of ‘True Detective.’ Plans were made, blood was shed and some characters didn’t make it out alive.

After an interesting second season, True Detective attempted to bring things seamlessly together for the season two finale. The Aug. 9 episode was absolutely shocking. Ani (Rachel McAdams) and Ray (Colin Farrell) dealt with the aftermath of Paul’s death, the details surrounding Caspere’s death were revealed and, like Paul (Taylor Kitsch), two characters didn’t live to see another day.

Season two of True Detective is coming to a close next week after an interesting season. The Aug. 2 penultimate episode was the show’s most thrilling yet, so you know the finale is going to be an exhilarating conclusion. No one saw that coming. The penultimate episode of ‘True Detective’ season two was absolutely shocking. Everything started to come together, and one person was brutally shot dead in the final seconds of the show.

There’s only one episode left of True Detective, and it’s going to be insane. On the Aug. 2 episode of the show, Ani (Rachel McAdams) and the guys dealt with the aftermath of what happened at the sex party, Frank (Vince Vaughn) lit his entire world on fire and one character didn’t make it out alive. And this time, this person is really dead.

It’s been two months since that deadly shoot out and everything has changed — yes, that includes Colin Farrell’s mustache.

While Ray (Colin Farrell) decided to hang up his detective belt, and go fully clean (60 days now), he’s caught between a rock and a hard place — and that’s just at work with Frank (Vince Vaughn). At home, he’s about to lose his son for good. However, he doesn’t realize how related those two are.

We finally felt some real emotions on this week’s ‘True Detective.’ From Paul’s secrets, to Ani’s sex life biting her in the butt, episode four got a good look into the personal side of our favorite cops.

Paul (Taylor Kitsch) had been fighting with his past this entire season and it finally came out at the end of last week: he had been seeing a man before. So this week’s True Detective picked up right at that when he ended up back at his ex’s apartment.

After last week’s jaw-dropping episode, ‘True Detective’ had some explaining to do. Did the show just pull a major twist by killing off Colin Farrell’s Ray Velcoro? That question was answered pretty quickly in the July 5 episode.

True Detective may be three episodes in, but it looks like the show’s just getting things started. On the July 5 episode, we got a glimpse into Paul’s (Taylor Kitsch) past, Ani (Rachel McAdams) continued to try and make headway in the Caspere murder investigation, Frank (Vince Vaughn) got down and dirty and Ray Velcoro’s (Colin Farrell) fate was revealed.

‘True Detective’ turned up the shock factor on its June 28 episode. Did everyone catch the show’s final moments? Yeah, one of the main characters appears to have been shot and left for dead.
