Frank Sinatra (born Francis Albert Sinatra on December 12, 1915 in Hoboken, New Jersey) was an American singer, actor and producer. Frank began singing professionally as a teenager. After finding moderate success with the 3 Flashes and Harry James, Frank broke out as the lead singer for the Tommy Dorsey band. His first charting hit came in 1940, and from there, he launched a massive career that nearly lasted six decades.. He first appealed to teenage girls of the 1940s, reaching levels of popularity that wouldn’t be seen until Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Frank was part of The Rat Pack, along with Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop, as the group often appeared on stage and in films together. Frank found success in movies, appearing in movies like The Man With The Golden Arm, Guys and Dolls, High Society and the original Ocean’s 11. Frank died on May 14, 1998 after suffering a severe heart attack. By the end of his life, Frank had won 13 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award for his role in From Here to Eternity, and was considered one of the greatest singers of the 20th century.

Personal Life:
Frank had three children — including Frank Sinatra Jr. — with his first wife, Nancy Sinatra. They were married in 1939 and divorced in 1951. Afterward, Frank married actress Ava Gardner. They separated in 1953 and finalized the divorce in 1957. Frank married Mia Farrow in 1966, but the short marriage ended in 1968. Frank married his last wife, Barbara Marx, in 1976. Frank was politically active in his life, speaking out against racism and for the poor. Frank campaigned for both John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan’s bids for president.
