Bio:
Elizabeth Warren (born Elizabeth Ann Herring on June 22, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ) is the US democratic senator from Massachusetts. Elizabeth has held the office since 2013. Prior to being elected into the position, she was the Special Advisor for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Chairwoman of the Congressional Oversight Panel. Before entering politics, Elizabeth was a Harvard Law School professor. She graduated from Rutgers School of Law in 1976, and after passing the bar, started working at home as a lawyer while raising her young daughters. She had a historic senate run (she’s Massachusetts’ first female senator), and has become a wildly popular politician among democrats and progressives. In 2016, people speculated (and hoped) that Elizabeth would throw her hat in the ring and run for president. Elizabeth said that she unfortunately had no interest, and later came out in support of democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. On Dec. 31, 2018 Sen. Warren formerly threw her hat into the ring for the 2020 General Election, announcing on her social media pages that she’s “launching an exploratory committee for president.”
