Even worse, it was rumored that the woman was Shania’s best friend, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Suddenly single, Shania turned to Marie-Anne’s likewise spurned husband, Frédéric Thiébaud, for support. Flashforward to today, and the pair are engaged, and pals say their children brought them closer together!
Country music superstar Shania Twain, 44, is going to share her “life-altering heartbreak” with the world, in her new reality show Why Not? which will launch in January, 2011 on Oprah Winfrey’s new TV network, OWN.

Songstress Katy Perry, 25, loved guest judging on American Idol so much on Jan. 27 that she’d kiss off her singing career and sit and be Simon, she says. “The American Idol experience was awesome,” she told MTV. “If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career.” Do it Katy! She was fabulously acerbic ripping into contestants and other judges. “This isn’t a Lifetime movie”, she snapped at fellow judge, Kara DioGuardi, after Kara went all soft on a singer who grew up in foster care. “You have to have talent,” she retorted to Kara, reminding her that it was a singing contest!
