Sylvester Stallone Considers Skipping Oscars After ‘Creed’ Director & Star Snubbed

Will a huge nominee skip the biggest night in movies? Sylvester Stallone is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for ‘Creed’ — and he just revealed that he’s considered not going, since his director and co-star were snubbed.

This is Sylvester Stallone‘s first Oscar nomination in nearly 40 years — and the 69-year-old legend has considered watching the big show from home, since Creed director Ryan Coogler and star Michael B. Jordan were not nominated, and will be boycotting as part of the #OscarsSoWhite movement. During a luncheon for the nominees on Feb. 8 at the Beverly Hilton in LA, he revealed the surprising conversation he had with the Creed family.

For the second year in a row, actors of color were snubbed of Oscar nominations. From Idris Elba to Michael B. Jordan to Benicio Del Toro, here are the black actors and more actors of color that should have gotten recognized by the Academy this year.

Seriously? In all of the acting categories for this year’s Oscar nominations, not a single actor of color was nominated. Michael B. Jordan, Idris Elba, Will Smith and the entire Straight Outta Compton cast wowed fans and critics, but the Academy shut these black actors and other actors of color out completely.
